Yes, but what the guy in the article doesn't seem to realize, or misread, is that the guy was already under surveillance...
"According to the warrant, police conducted surveillance at the home and checked its electricity bill..."
Why he was under surveillance would be an interesting question.

ive never heard of someone using too much power and gettin caught. usually they are already under survellance and the energy bill is just a peice of the puzzle or they are stealing it. last summer people were getting busted because they had whole houses for growing and no one lived there. and neighbors or land surveyor would find the house growing pot.

he staged a fake grow with 2 christmas trees. had lights on them for 6 months. they raided his house with a warrant for growing weed.

very true , i have to remember the electicity company wants your cash lol there not going to dob u in , but if you have shady characters rocking up outfront then and alot of people comming and going all it takes is 1 phone call and they will then see your electricity bill and then your fucked. in otherwords keep a lowprofile and your sweet

Kinda a random question but I thought I would throw it out there. Im going to running two 600watt hps and a basic aeroponics set up. You think this might throw a red flag? Im kool with all the neighbors and theirs no traffic going in and out of the house plus I have done soil growing b4 under a 250watt. Anyone that wants to comment I appreciate the input. (BY the way loved the Christmas tree story shows you the world we live in)

No problem...... Think about it the electrical supplier is making money why would they think 'oh shit this guy is buying too much of our product lets tell the police'. Dont steal electric and pay your bills on time youll be fine. I got 2x600w btw. Who are they to say i dont have 4 200gallon fish tanks.

Thats true. Thanks for the input. I'll be sure to post some pics once my seeds arrive and I get the ball rolling I plan on doing a grow journal.
if ur power bill goes up they may call. mine called me, freaked me out. just have some excuses ready. they said they thought something might be wrong inside the house. it only went up about a hundred dollars. thank god i do not answer calls i do not recognize because i would have been a bumbling idiot.

my electric bill is already a little over 200$ a month just from space heaters and my lights i doubt yah have anything to worry about you would have to be pulling a shit pile of energy to get busted iwould think.
