fan questions??????

im running a fan in my grow room to try and help keep the temp down while the lights are running but when the lights are off should i keep the fan on? i was told to keep it on all the time.....

I had read a while back in high times that the plants leaves use up its immediate surrounding in a matter of minutes so i keep the fan going in my closet at all times, i just dont keep the intake fan running all the time.

Plus, blowing a fan will strenghten the stalks.

I like no fan in the dark period. No problems so far. I think 12 or more hours of fan is enough. I like the idea that plants need down time. Roots grow in the dark. Nature sure does. If your area is pron to problems like high humidity or bug issues a fan would be a good idea. I would address issues as they come up and this one would be no fan to start....

unless the plants are in a vacuum, the air will be there for them, LOL!
