Help or Advice On Operation

So i want to start a operation that invovles 2 1000 watt bulbs fans etc. (trying to do it smart) im looking for no more than 50 plants, is this a big operation will the Kwh be suspicious in this operation? I will be getting rid of the odor and so on and so fourth, I expect the total Kwh to be 930 Kwh to 1300 Kwh ill be running nothing else in the residence for this will be strictly grow operation maybe a T.v and a ps3 but that is it? Can I have any advice or Help With this matter? is it suspicious?

Pay your bill on time/early every month, keep a low profile, don't steal power and you'll be fine. Power companies want to make money. Think about someone who has 3 kids, runs dishwashers/washers/dryers/air conditioning/hot tub/ water heater/ leaving lights on/ etc etc etc. If you regulate your use of electricity and have just 2k running you will be fine. Main thing, Pay your bill on time every time!

I don't think that amount of usage would be suspiscious at all. A lived in house uses more than a pair of 1000w lights, with all the appliances running - stove, fridge, washer and dryer. You get the idea.

Say I rented a duplex with the only entrance being the front door not apartment style, not a house where the average kwh is higher thatn a apartment? still not suspicious? thx for the input!

Personally I wouldn't grow in a duplex if your not legal. I have before(illegally, I am legally allowed to grow my medicine now) and it's just sketchy to me. To many eyes, ears and noses around. I don't think it would cause alarm by utility usage, but a house would be much more suitable. Also think about trying to carry equipment into the apartment with neighbors around and what not.

Plus the apartment company your renting from has rights to enter your residence at any time to do fire inspections, fix something, etc. Think about that too.

Suspicious is not paying your bill.

Coming once a day and staying for an hour or two and leaving. Bringing friends by to check grow out and high fiving on way out.

Not having lights in window on at night. ie. put lights on timer in window w/ more than one on/off time.

No curtains in windows.

These are a few things I could come up with. The things you mentioned are normal.

Would you say 4200 watts is suspicious? Running for 2.5 yrs.

No friends would be there, the equipment that i would bring would be in the initial moving in so they would not know any better, as for the neighbors i am real estate hunting for the best place to do it via a location that will not be visited. the only people that will know is me and my business partner whichhe is perfectly able to keep a secret.. i know a house is the best option but i will have to put off real estate hunting till i have more cash flow to be able to to rent a house and such.. i will have timers and such and the whole nine yards everything will be legit as for i am doing research for the next 3 months so i get everything correct and my partner has grown a few times but small crop being 4 plants.. there will be a lock on the room that has the operation in it so if my (lanlord) was to come in he would not be able to get in

Landlords can come in your house for inspection purposes. I'm not sure how often but, maybe as much as 2x a yr.

Sounds like your starting out right by researching and stuff. I did it in rental(s) before.

i have always been told that aslong as you stay under 1k per bedroom, then you should be fine, as a normal house will use around this much power per bedroom..
you just have to think of how much power a normal nongrowing house uses everyday with things like computers, washers, dryers, stoves, fridges, etc... and also, as long as your not stealing any power, and paying your bill on time every month, the electric company will not be a problem.. they are a business and are out to make money, so doing so will not be a problem as long as you pay for it promptly..
best of luck on the grow, and i would think that as long as you do your research well, you will have few problems..

a 1000 watt bulb is 1 kwh a hour plus all my tools like fan, exhaust etc. i can run extension cords from my kitchen/bathroom/living room to stealth the 1 kwh a bedroom but i want the bedroom to be locked at all time so in case the lanlord came in he would not have acess hopefully there is no smell but who knows i am also considering security systems in case the cops did ever come i would see over the internet if they did and would not return to the residence. latex gloves all the time finding a place where no security check is required with a month to month lease changing my place every 3-5 months or every harvest..

ull be lucky to find a 6 month lease most ofthe time the home owner doesnt want to find new tenants every 6 months, and if u start stiffing landlords u wont be renting anything for a long time, everything is ran off credit now adays.. what u need to do is find someonewho is moving out of state and rent there house, then the owner is out of state and pay ur bills ontime, i run over 5000 watts plus accessories ( ac/fans/ozone generater, etc ) and never have a problem just pay my bills on time i know a guy whos elec. bill is 2000 every two months... hes grown for years and never had a problem with cops or elec co, just theives he had a 900sq ft flower room beautiful!

Everyone seems to worry about electricity usage buts its not really a problem. Electrical companies dont waste their time trying to bust grow operations, they just want to make money. Having a house only for growing is a lot more suspicious. This is a list of things people do to watch out for grow houses, take them into account.

Is there a grow op in your neighbourhood? How to identify a grow op.
(It is important to note that a positive response to some of these questions does not mean it is a grow op house and that the residents are involved in criminal activity. Please use this questionnaire as a basic guideline only.)
1. Occupants don’t appear to have regular job hours and drive expensive automobiles.
2. Dark window coverings on many windows
3. Illuminated rooms or outbuildings nearly 24 hours a day.
4. Heavy condensation on windows, lack of frost or snow on roofs of houses when others have frost and snow. Blowing curtains from fans.
5. Abnormal number of roof vents or unusual amount of steam in cold weather.
6. Extra security such as large fences or guard dogs.
7. Entry is always through the automatic garage doors and residents are always in their cars
8. Strange smell or odor coming from the home.
9. Electrical humming sounds, numerous fans and running water.
10. Unusual wiring to the exterior of the home and or the hydro meter spins at a faster than normal rate.
11. Commonly experienced localized power surges or browning. Lights often dim or appliances slow down with lack of power.
12. Avoid making any contact with neighbours.
13. Toys are often outside the home but no children are ever seen at the home.
14. Large quantities of growing equipment & supplies are seen taken into the home/outbuildings but there are no flowers or gardens at the home. Often purchased in winter months.
15. Numerous pots, soil, garden hoses and fertilizers around the property.
16. Appears to be vacant, yard poorly kept and newspapers build up at the front door.
17. Hoses run from doors and windows to the outside of the home.
18. Visitors often park down the street and walk to the home.
19. In condominiums owners move in at night, disappear for long periods of time or you never see them move in.
21. Garbage days there is no garbage ever or there is no noticeable activity in the home but a lot of garbage.
Grow ops can either be lived in or maintained by visiting gardeners. The RCMP see a lot of operations now where the whole house is used, on the other hand, sometimes only a small portion of a home is used.
