Ok, i feel like i have trolled around long enough and i cant find the answer, so im going to post it in hope for a legit answer

I am starting my first new hydroponics system in a few days, ive been reading up on them for about 6 months, and i cant seem to get a solid opinion on this.

I am going to change the water from the container every week or 10 days, between completely changing the water system, when i have to add water to keep the reservoir at optimal level, do i add ph neutrall water. or do i add water with the same nutrient solution im using...

So
A. top off water reservoir with ph neutral water
B. top off water reservoir with nutrient mixture water

im not a hydroponic grower but it would seem to me that you would top off with nutrient solution in the same ratio as whats in your res so you dont alter the ppm of tds

I do both, dpends on the ppm reading i get before topping up the rez. If it's high enough i just add tapp water as a high ppm usually has a low ph anyway. I also don't bother adding nuts for a couple of days before i plan on changing the rez. no point in wasting them.

There are some really detailed guides on here but i really just play it by ear..

I'm no expert though still have a couple of weeks to go on my first hydro grow. One thing i can tell you is after a couple of weeks you will stop worrying about it so much. It was really much simpler than i made it at first. I don't ph adjust the water at all anymore, the nutes take care of that fine.

I've also been going a lot longer than 10 days between water changes.

What nutes areyou going to be using?
