[QUOTE="SICC";3580526]You dont need the original mother or father, you can just use pollen from the new males, but you can keep the pollen from P1 if you want, most the time when people breed they start with in IBL, inbreed line, which would be like White Widow and White Widow. What your doing and i will be doing as well is crossing two different strains, which each have there own make up of different characteristic's. its not just the bud, you looks for good node spacing, fast growth, female or male plants that smell in veg, stuff like that, but those do count as well like overall Yield, High, and other things
thos is just from what i have learned so far

Yes that all sounds about the direction Im going.
The females I have chose are my F1's
best producers, resistant to abuse, not finicky eaters
so on and so on.
The male on the other hand was the only male I could come up with.
So I can only assume that once these have been breed then the natuaral selection of mothers starts over again.
My only confusion is the male part.
I can always have the same consistent females by selection but, how do we "weed" out the good males?
I can understand about tight node spacing and what would be a healthy parent but their are so many variables with female phenos within the same batch
Surely the same is for the males.
Seems like hit or miss with fathers.
Answers please.
