Background: My girl is in about the 6th week of flowering. Bud growth has been slow, but my light situation has been lacking.
Currently, I have (3) 23W CFLs, and (1) 13W CFL for a total of 5700 lumens. I ordered (2) 42W CFLs from 1000bulbs.com last week and should be here soon. At that point I'll have 8800 lumens.
I recently saw a thread about an Amazon.com sale for a 150W HPS floodlight for only $16. An order over $25 qualifies for free shipping, so buying two is essentially the same cost as buying one and paying shipping. The total cost of (2) HPS would be $32 (same price I paid for 2 42W CFL + shipping). On 1000bulbs.com, a 150W HPS provides 15,700 lumens; a substantial upgrade from what I have now.
I am on a very very limited budget and have been growing this girl from bagseed.
My question is: In your opinion, would it be beneficial to purchase these lights for the plant?
On another topic, if I were to purchase these, it would free up some CFLs for me. Is it too late to take a clone of this plant and use one of the 42W CFLs to start growing that?
Misc info:
1 fan
1 CO2 bottle (yeast/sugar/water)
