Come on people, we've come far enough in our technology that we would have known about a mass as large as a brown dwarf! I'm sorry but I've seen no real scientific evidence of this and I'm not buying it until such evidence is presented. I don't believe we will see such evidence any time soon.

But if you're still brainwashed to believe that ANY organized religion has access to any special knowledge about God and his purposes, you're gullible enough to believe anything which fits into your specific worldview; which must necessarily be defined by your religion of preference.
Read and research more on the topic of evolution. Once you understand man's roots in the natural world, the idea of us as His special creation, falling from grace, and subsequently requiring His Son's sacrifice to become saved becomes as ludicrous a story as you probably regard the Morman's or the Scientologist's storyline.
IF God exists, not one single religion has an accurate understanding of Him. IF He exists, He may only be reached thru introspection of self. Maybe you should also research the Budda- before his followers created a religion out of his teachings.

Social Darwinism is not Darwin's Natural Selection. It is a bastardization based on the misconception of what "Survival of the Fittest" means.
Survival of the Fittest does not mean the biggest, strongest, and healthiest are the ones that pass on their genes. Fittest refers to those organisms that survive to and are capable of reproduction.
For example you have a forest where each tree has a knothole. Old trees have big knotholes and young trees have small knotholes.
The speckled twitbird inhabits this forest. They only mate in knotholes. The male impresses the female by luring her into the biggest knothole available and preening for her.
The large, stronger twitbirds dominate the population and pass on their genes.
Then along come the old-growth loggers and devastate all the old trees.
Now there are only small knotholes. Too small for the large twitbirds to enter. Only the smaller males can get in.
Now when the females seek a mate the male twitbird who is the fittest is the small male, because he is more suited to his current environment and will pass on his genes.
Social Darwinism is just artificial selection and political dogma.

Well, my worldview must include Darwin's description of all specie's "decent with modification." It is well supported by science; which no religion's story can claim.
But I think your description of this kind of social/economic Darwinism is just an example of immoral actions on the part of our intelligent species. You're describing the evil side of capitalism and simply comparing it to the survival aspect of nature- blood in tooth and claw. Fitting, I agree. But supposedly our intelligence and humanity is also our savior; a well written constitution protecting the weak among us. Unfortunately, the law has been corrupted by the lawyers- now completely controlled by the financial interest in the nation, leading to the scenario your describe.
All of this, has nothing to do with the falsity of religion: an ancient, superstitious answer to questions about nature truly beyond human understanding at the time.
This was very interesting and a good response.

Dont suppose anyone has given any credence to Gilbert, or more importantly Yeshua, dispite the obvious increase in earthquakes. It's coming faster than we can even perceive. Next people will dissappear and the naysayers will say it was aliens! As corny as it sounds God loves us all! IMO we were created just to see who would rise above their nature and love and want to be near the Creator! Why would anyone ever want to be separated from Him?

LOL, facts from someone who has been on Coast-To-Coast AM? Have any of you heard that show? I listen to AM radio if I happen to be out driving late at night, and occasionally catch that show. It's hilarious, and scary. Last time I listened they were talking about demonic possessions. The guest and callers went on about this stuff as casually as if they were talking about the best time to plant tomato plants. I remember one woman telling the story of a demon possessing her car, and making her drive 80 mph; and how she got a ticket, but couldn't tell the cop the truth. It's really fascinating to listen to the stuff on that show (alien abductions, shadow people, demons, etc.), and to think about how many people call in, totally taking it all seriously. It's strange to realize how many people there are out there who seem to exist in some sort of totally separate reality that they've withdrawn into for some reason.
Anyway, I guess my point is that, in my experience, anyone who has been on Coast-To-Coast is most likely a total tinfoil hat crackpot (but, also usually pretty damn entertaining).

Every time I listen to it (much less with George Noory than when Art Bell had the reigns), I always had hoped that the reason it is so popular is due to its entertainment value and that most of the listeners don't buy into all of this woo woo but then I come to RIU and see how even smart people are able to self-justify pseudoscience in spite of the lack of true empirical evidence and my hopes are dashed.

Since the last post there has been quite a lot of meteorological turmoil. An update, NASA can no longer deny wormwood so it is now called Comet Elenin after the citizen who "discovered" it last year.

I have been following wormwood since I became a Christian in 2008 and up to this point I have never given an exact date. I hate it when groups say "the rapture is coming on this day", etc. It hurts the testimony of so many. I still have no idea when the rapture will come, God said "no man knows the hour" but watch this vid. I have read as much as I have time to and I think what this guy is saying is very plausible. I am pretty sure sometime between September 26 2011 & November 6 2011 the united states will become a much different place. I am so glad I have a God I can trust. I hope something I have said or shown here will plant a seed in one of your minds and you will allow the Holy Spirit to begin to work in your life. Jesus loves you my friends!
