I am about to germinate some store bought beans.
And I do not want to take chances or cut corners but then again I don't want to go crazy and order every gimmick and doo dad out there....so I have been researching and seams most agree Miracle Grow is a no no!
The closest store to sell Fox Farm(which is what I want)
is like 200 miles, so should I rinse the miracle grow or is ordering pricey....
please advise...

If you can't get FF soils you can go with MG moisture control and some perlite. It works pretty good for growing if you can't find anything else. Don't worry about rinsing the ferts out or anything. Just don't give any nutes for a few weeks and watch out for deficiencies. Best of luck my friend. :weed:

Just mix in some perlite in a big tote. It's that simple. The more perlite you use the better aeration you'll get but you will have to water more frequently. :-|

Do you own Jorge Cervantes: Marijuana Horticulture-aka the Cannabible? There is a section on growing more females from seed. I don't remember all the tips or even if they really work. I follow the tips and they seem to work for me. Use more blue light for more females. Higher humidity, higher N in the growing medium, and keep stress to a minimum during the 3rd and 4th week of growth. :weed:

No I do not own the book...but I am starting to get discouraged.
I guess things are getting more and more complicated and maybe I should do more studying...
I wanted to keep things as simple as possible
400 watt hps throughout...
proper light cycle...
water... sits overnight as it is from a well...
food& nutes when appropriate....
temps between 75 and 85 with a ten degree drop at night
humid for vegging and dry for flowering
18/6...veg
12/12 flower
dont overwater but dont let dry out ...keep soil moist
keep grow area clean to avoid mold fungus mildew pests or mites
I bought feminized seeds so I don't have another male
I need to burn one and change my attitude

The tote deal is recomended for fox farm to prevent hot spots. So I figure it coudn't hurt.I don't mix perlite for airation I use smart pots. Its a growers own choice really.Nothing written in stone.

go ahead and get some miracle grow and mix in the perlite. if you are shopping home depot or lowes, then you maybe able to find other non-miracle grow top soils/potting mixes which do not have time release fert. i used miracle grow mixed with perlite and the plant grew beautifully, but it turned male. i dont think the soil had anything to do with it though because plenty of people on here grow this way without problem. good luck, and have fun

Here is the fertilizer analysis for the MG potting soil 0.21 - 0.07 - 0.14
I am going to flush the soil and add percilite and let sit until bagseed sprouts.
I am using the bagseed as my last test before germinating the magic beans.
My first grow as you can see on my profile was a healthy plant.
It was a bagseed white rhino which turned from MaytoMavn....man was pissed and let down....
I didn't wait for it to hermie I pulled it up, anyway.....
Here is to lessons learned and future great growths.
So I am waiting for my seedlings to sprout they are in mostly worm castings percilite and soil mix.
Not the best drainage because of the castings but I have a clear plastic sheet over the top keeping it humid ,with the 400watt about 4.5' above acting as a heat lamp.
Once they break ground it's off with the plastic....
till then it's read read read...and yup...read...
thanks for the comments keep 'em coming

...but here is a good read
Lemon Skunk really unique in the current cannabis market - super potent, with a sweet and sharp lemon aftertaste and powerful lethargic effect. They have been noticed and awarded at HighLife 2006 where Lemon Skunk won the1st place.
The first Skunk (AKA "The Pure") was bred by Sam the Skunk man in the 1970s and so called because of its strong smell. He took an Afghani indica, "Acapulco Gold", Mexican Sativa and Columbian Gold Sativa to breed, blend and create a very strong indica dominant cannabis variety full of flavor and rich in THC which is said to be around 20%. This moment turned the whole marijuana world and started a new era in the cannabis seeds selection. Nearly all modern strains contain Skunk genes.
Strong indica genetics help feminized seeds of Lemon Skunk successfully fight fungus and infection. They also show a good rate of germination as all cannabis seeds from the Greenhouse are hand selected and thoroughly tested for their qualities. They are suitable for indoor and outdoor cultivation with good results shown in all growing methods. Lemon Skunk feminized doesn't need any extra care, just basic knowledge of cannabis growing should be enough to receive a good yield of as much as 600 gr per m2 indoors and up to 800 gr per plant outdoor. She is typically early maturing with just 8 weeks of flowering, with the sativa like growth and flowering and the indica light green shade of the foliage. This strain is quite petite with a maximum height of 120-150 cm. Outdoor varieties can be taller. Short internode gaps explode into dense, rounded bud-clusters which merge into huge, heavy colas by harvest time. 2-3 weeks before harvest, Lemon Skunk begins to produce a citrus pungent skunk smell, so some odor control may be required.
Smoking has a very smooth citrus flavor and a complex effect, well balanced and long-lasting. This "almost devastator" is a perfect choice for those who desire a heavy, long lasting and lethargic stoned effect.

And this from Dna ...
Lemon Skunk Cannabis Seeds are a cross hatch between two Skunks with phenotypes chosen for their zesty lemon characteristics. With a Lemon Mother, which has been kept in Vegas for over 20 years, and a Father hand picked here in Holland, you know you are getting a heavy hitter!
The Lemon Skunk is a good yielder that will grow tall with a high calyx ratio. These Cannabis Seeds grow great smelling buds that are green with thick orange hairs make her one of the sweetest and tastiest strains if cut down between 50 - 56 days.
The Lemon Skunk has a special place in our hearts and our Trophy Cabinet!
1st - Outdoor, Highlife Cup (2007)
