Ozone and spider mites

Would using a high concentration of ozone over a 2-3 hours in your grow room be enough to kill off spider mites?

And if so is it possible to hit them with enough ozone to kill them but not harm my plants? Something like a 15 minute ozone treatment a day or something to that effect?

I've got floramite on the way but I have a CD-1000 uvonair ozone generator here now. Any input would be greatly appreciated as these little bastards are feasting as we speak.

Wish I had the answer for you---- I went avid........
But hey, how do you like your CD1000?? I have some WW that's mine wont touch and I just replaced all the insides to the tunes of $140(it the BigBlue 8"x24.
The floramite works great, but dont use in your flower area......you just have to work in steril kids and be adament about prevention. The ones in flower I would just try to 'control' with neem or rosenthauls sh*t---------that's all those end up being: "Controls"------we wnat them dead!---now here come the organic peeps after me, haha........ is whey just use in veg and then try to get those leafs off in flower as it is a systemic and goes to the cells in the plants and the mites cant reproduce, but they do live a few more days and the existing eggs can hatch is why you need to repeat after 2-4 days........

great luck and please tell me how you use your cd100o in you op for odor and what works the best for you. Pm if you wish.....

after further thinking on this---imo, the damage created from the ozone to the plants I dont believe to be worth trying to kill mites................again, I dont know for sure, so , imho

Did you ever try out the ozone for mite control? I was thinking the same thing. I have a wimpy chinese ozone generator but it's just a closet grow. Normally run ozone for ten mins a day while watering but thinking about killing my vents for a day and gassing the little bastards in the sealed box.

Love to hear if you had any luck

I 've 'heard' of people using Co2 like your saying, but never ozone........ I run a CD unit and a big blue 10" on my exhaust because too much in the grow will kill the plants.......

But when it's all said and done, I haven't had mites in two + years and AVID is what did them in for me........and used correctly.

get mite rid off eBay..its expensive but works an absolute charm, basically if you have mites you want to get rid of the bastards before flowering and use mite rid and then wait three days and check for mites....I bet they are gone!

Why are you going Ozone? do you have pets or family in the house? i would NEVER run ozone in my grow because of my daughter and my dogs. So if you go ozone just pay attention. Why not try Azamax? Few applications and you should be golden and even helps your plant become more resistant.

I'm sure in smaller does its probably not going to do much, but my daughter is really what trumps it. I just found an infestation of russet mites in my flower tent last night, and I'm barely stressing....Sprayed GreenCure on last night, i'll do a foliar of Azamax tonight, and i've got amblyseius swirskii mites on the way....These mutha fuckas are going to meet their maker!
