Hello all. After some frustrating issues with my last grow (boiled down to inadequate drainage) i'm going with the Canna Coco nutrient line. I've heard very good things from various growers and my local grow shop owner has been using it faithfully for the last four years with amazing results. i wanted to also keep things on the organic side.
Equipment:
126w penetrator (which is supposed to be equivalent to a 400 HPS), and a small oscillating fan
Nutrients:
Rhizotonic, Canna Coco A/B, Cannazym, PK 13-14. I also picked up a bit of Colossal Bud Blast as a foliar spray. (increases overall health and increases shoot/bud development). A little bit of blackstrap (unsulphured) molasses for some carbs. Seems like a large investment, but totally worth it. The amounts bought will last at LEAST a year, prob much longer.
Genetics: (all feminized)
Northern Lights#5 Haze Mist
Trainwreck
Fruity Chronic Juice
Hawaiian Snow
Chiesel
Big Bang
My first grow I used all feminized Big Bang's and had a few beans left over.
I've had great success with Single Marijuana Seeds but I'm living in Canada. I've used them twice so far with excellent service and quality. arrived 7-12 days from purchase date.
Schedual:
The girls were germinated and planted on December 6th. I put them on 24/0 for the first 3-4 days then once i saw some roots i cut it back to 20/4. The BB was started a week or two earlier. My grow shop has an info sheet created that outlines the ml/gal ratio for all of the nutes making it almost foolproof. (If anyone would like a copy, i can PM it to you or you can just use the low-end of the scale from the charts on Canna.com. Thats basically what mine says).
When feeding the girls I FTD (flood-to-drain) which right now is only about 250-350ml every 2 days (6 inch grower pots). With the Coco, you want to let them dry out a bit between feedings. Also, I've been giving them a foliar spray of CBB in the mornings every couple of days.
Compared to my last grow with soil (same light being used) things are definitely better. All signs of growth look amazingly perfect with zero signs of stress (no drooping/curled leaves).
I'll try to keep things updated regularly, and if there are questions just hit me up. Hopefully this inspires someone into trying my methods or at least learns something from my mistakes. Happy growing!
Also, there are plenty of "LED haters" out there, if you wanna hate...please don't do it here. Positive info/comments only! Thanks!
