i'd restart cause if they go through much more stress then they may herm or even become males

i hope they get better how many lights are you using? and are you using soft whites or daylight bulbs? if your using soft white that's why
they're trying to flower at the beginning of life pretty much they need the daylight cfl's to help them grow i only had soft whites for my first grow wasn't the smartest but it did grow just slower and not as well as the one i've got now (mine is a female, got preflowers in veg (normal) and it's not a herm cause i don't see any balls and on one complete node i see hairs on each one so there's a def sign it's not a herm)


and those are some monster leaves nice on that part you can bring them back without them herming but are you just using soil? or what ferts are you using ?

Hey man just saw the pics and to be honest they dont look to good but they dont look to bad either. Just water and a lil (N) deprieved,also if you havent flowered already i would say hold on for about a week or so until they bounce back. All they need is some TLC, plus you dont want send your girls into flowering with when there not at there best.

They're looking great now though!! Man they sprang back to life. I started 5 more seeds germing and will throw them in soil tomorrow. No signs of sex yet and they're on the 3rd day of flowering. I was using the 6500K daylights for vegging but I'm using 2700K's for flowering with 1 6500K for a full spectrum. I believe there are 4 2700K's and 1 6500K. I don't keep very good track because I unscrew them to keep temps down. Daytime is around 75-80 and nights are in the high 50's, low 60's. I'm giving them some Miracle Grow Bloom Booster. It's not organic like I wanted but it's doing some serious work. You'll see the results in the pics. The leaves are really sexy looking right now. They're finally looking like real marijuana plants. Haha.

Well I started flowering instantly so it's too late for that. Haha. I figured "screw it". I just want to see what will happen. No signs of sex yet but they're sure looking/smelling great. It's almost time for a carbon filter (ASAP actually).

I also tore off a ton of the tinfoil. My g/f gave me some presents that were wrapped in this shiny wrapping paper. It looks like the mylar stuff that you guys use but it's really thin. I put a bunch of it in the box along with white printer paper and the temps are 5-10 degrees lower than they were. Fuck tin foil.

I don't know what I did right but they are loving me right now. They are getting huge daily. Honestly I think they've each grown an inch since I started flowering them- maybe more. Here are some pics. Judging by the leaves, what kind would you say these are? I was really hoping for some Indica and if these are, I'm gonna clone the shit outta them. Haha.

looking good, u might have to figure out a feeding regimen cause ur soil is obviously lacking essential nutes.. Once they start to bud you'll want less N and more P & K.. You'll still need a fair amount of N tho.. What i have been doing is feeding nutes in small amounts each watering.. once they start to show the slightest nute burn (very tips start to turn) then i back off the nutes for a few days. This has been working really well for me.

also, its time to transplant one last time.. If you have 2-4 gal pots use those.. but no less then 1-2gal. I bet those roots are already stunted.
Looking at the pics it looks like ur running low on magnesium as well...


Since u gotta transplant, get way bigger pots and WAY BETTER SOIL.. MG Moisture control is what im using, works great.

Yeah this soil definitely blows. The stuff I'm using is 15-30-15 because it's made for blooming flowers. I water the plants every other time with this stuff and then I do water on the off days.

Isn't transplanting bad during flowering?

If it's OK for them, I want to transplant but I'm going to wait to find out the sex of all of them. I'm going to keep the females and if all are female I'm keeping the strongest 2 or 3. Then I'll put them in bigger pots. I really don't have room for anything else. I have some MC soil so it'll be better for them once I transplant. The roots may be a little stunted but after watching SICC's party-cup grow, it seems like there's almost no such thing as a "root-bound marijuana plant". I still want to get bigger pots just to be sure though.

Here are the seeds that I germed. I let these go WAY too long but at least I know which the fast growers are. Two didn't pop out and 1 is lame. If it keeps being weak I'm gonna toss it.

The soil is Moisture Control so maybe I'll see a difference. They're in the same box as the others so they'll be 12/12 from seed. They're kinda far from the lights so I'll figure out a way to raise them tomorrow. They're supposed to be sleeping right now so I don't want them to get hermied with me messing around in the box.

I tried something new with the cups. I cut slits in the bottom and folded them so it holds the cup up off the ground. It provides way better drainage and I have tinfoil cups below them to catch the excess water. This MC soil is really strange. It's like it doesn't hold water at all. I'm hoping that will change once it's been soaked a few times and there are roots growing through it. It's kind of annoying right now because the water just pools on top for forever.

Quick little side story (well 2 actually). I thought the 2nd was hilarious.

Story 1
So two of my anti-weed friends may have found my grow in my closet while they were looking for a sweatshirt in my room. I haven't confronted them about it because I figured they'd confront me first. One friend was on the phone with other and I said "hey ask him if I can borrow his stud finder". The friend on the other end replied to this question with "Ask him if it's for growing weed plants". I responded "yup" even though it wasn't. I think they were just trying to rile me up but there's still the possibility that they know I'm growing. They haven't ever brought it up and I figure they would try to give me shit for it daily if they knew. They like to fuck with people and if you play their little game you're screwed. If you just go along with it and don't fuss, they drop the joke which is what I think happened in this case.

Story 2
Since flowering, my room has started to pick up a scent. It's not quite a weed smell but it's a noticeable odor (I'm running to the store to figure out a carbon filter as soon as I post). My anti-weed housemate walked into my room and said "So I figured out why my room smelled so weird the other day because your room smells the same way. CONDOMS!! I emptied my trash and now the smell is gone but your room still has the smell". I had to hold myself back from laughing. I just agreed with it and changed the subject. There may be some truth to it but I know for sure that the main smell in my room is from my plants.

Anyway, time to go do some shopping.

Keeps the dirt/roots in. I've been doing it for years with all my potted plants. The roots found their way out of the holes in the party cup stage and they're even creeping out of the holes in the bigger pots. The roots will still make their way through the filter but not as easily. It'll keep the majority of them in.

Thanks man. I'd have to go back and check but I believe I planted them a few days before Thanksgiving so it's been over 6 weeks. I only planned to veg for 4 so they're a little past that.

Do it up. I want to LST mine but have nowhere to tie them down. If/when I transplant I may put in some screws so I have places to secure some string.

I would prefer a bigger yield but I don't smoke that much. I'm sure I'd smoke a lot more if I had the money for it but I can easily make an 1/8 last 2-4 weeks. I'm a really conservative guy when it comes to drugs/alcohol and I try not to overdo things anymore (unlike my younger days).

The plants were looking good today except some possible nute burn. I predict it getting worse so I'm going to flush them with clean water tomorrow if they still look bad/worse. No signs of any sprouts. I have a feeling that I won't. I let them go way too long. I'm kinda bummed because they had the potential to be good seeds. They're out of my "kickass grab-bag". The seeds in there are anything from bagseed to White Widow and everything in between. The odds of something that great are slim but it's still a possibility.

These guys for sure won't turn me in. They're friends to the end but they just don't like weed. One has a sister that screwed her life up because she got heavy into drugs in high school and it all started with weed. The other has smoked a few times and always just got blown out of his mind which made him couchlocked. Now he has this impression that all smokers are like him and just smoke and get lazy.

DUDE!! Same for me. My friends say my room smells like weed (I don't smell it) but my closet will knock you over. My clothes in there are starting to smell like it but they smell more green/plant-like than weed itself. I have some carbon filters but they're not great so they're not fully doing the trick. I'm gonna buy some of those Arm n' Hammer boxes for the fridge and put 1 in my box and 1 in my closet to see if it makes a difference.

I also just smoked some leaf the other day. I had some trimmings from the plant and I dried it and smoked it. I was a dumbass and put it in my Sobe bong and it was a dense yellow smoke and it torched my lungs. I've had dense yellow from buds and it's not bad but those leaves made me choke. I got a little bit of a high but barely noticeable. Still nice not to be wasteful.

Here are some updated pics. It's Day 10 of flowering and I'm still not seeing any signs of sex. It's kinda getting annoying/nerve-racking.

All 3 seeds have turned into sprouts so we'll see how these turn out. If any turn out badass like White Widow I'm gonna shit myself.

Alright. So am I looking in the right place for signs of sex? It's Day 11 and there are still no definite signs as far as I can tell. Are there any pistils or sacs on these? They're on 12/12 with 2700K lights.

You can see a little purple in the last 3 pics. Could mean something- could mean nothing.

So quick beginner question- what does it take to initiate flowering? Is there a right/wrong way to do it? My buddy switched my lights to 13/11 to start flowering and then I flipped them to 12/12 after a few days. Is this the right way? Do you put them in the dark for 24 hours to tell them to start flowering? (I think I read that somewhere) I'm just trying to figure out if they're supposed to take this long to flower up.
