3rd day 12/12.. how can i tell when it starts to "flower"

i have two 3 month old plants that i switched to 12/12 3 days ago. i havent noticed any difference except vertical growth. they both have ALOT of pistils on each cola, but they were like that befor i switched and havent gotten bigger or ne thing since i switched to 12/12... how will i tell when they start the flowering process?? and how long does it usually take to see buds forming?? this is my first grow so any input is very appreciated. thanks for any help

week 3 you sould start to see flowers to your liking.

right now you are in the grow to flower transition period or what we call the stretch.

go to the appropriate forum or the FAQ (good stuff in there)

You should start to see white pubes coming out soon...then youll know shes a fem...youll know...lil white hairs..(Pistils)...

Those plants are in flower. See the Pistols, way too many to be pre-flowers.
Give them a bit of time & they should start joining together forming cola's & swelling. First you will get a couple weeks of vigorous vertical growth.
Odor is hinged on trich development - again give them a few weeks.

i have another quick question, (tryn not to make another thread lol) but i noticed alot of the pistils on the lower parts of branches have turned brite red or orange... is this natural? or is it a deff, or nute burn? am i underwatering? has any body seen ne thing like this?

The pics seem to show your pre-flowers - it is natural for them to do that, they have been formed for some time now & will die back as the "real" flowers form.
It is def not nute burn - that shows up on your leaves as do most symptoms.

damn bro thanks, that makes me happy as fuck lol these plants started off REALLY fucked up... there were 3 inches tall with 2-3 nodes on day 50... so im kinda just babying em, in case they get unhealthy again, tryn to make sure they'll produce some good smoke but thanks alot for the help man its very appreciated

hey man also i wus wondering, im using fox farm grow big, should i continue to use it through flowering stage?? and iv heard alot about molasses helping grow big buds.. would it b smart to use a low dose of molasses every other feeding??

Fox farm grow big is a veg fert (NPK 6-4-4), pick a bloom fert that is low in N and higher in P & K.
As for the molasses I use it for every watering during flowering except for the last 2 weeks (flushing). Also be aware that M has an NPK of approx 1-0-5, and will change your PH so add your nutes & then ph the mixture. My Molasses ratio is 3 Tbsp per 5 gallon bucket.

Your plants are good, dude. Nice and healthy. Just make sure your not "lovin em' to death".

If you want to add some organics to give you an added boost to your flowering, you can add Llama manure and Bat guano.(Both of which can be obtained online)

thanks man, im goona go to the hydro store ina few days and pick something up. witch is better to use if i can only afford one, FF big bloom or FF tiger bloom? im just wondering just in case ya kno lol but ill mix up a bit of molasses for my next watering. as for PH, iv been a bit stumped lol iv realized that my plants turn yellow/brown and dry up when i ph my water between 6.5-6.8 but they have been growing great with the water ph at 7.0-7.5... is that normal? or is my PH tester off? but i always ph my water after adding any nutes. but thanks alot that wus really helpful. i understand the NPK quite a bit more when its said like that =) i never really understood wut that meant at all

sometimes even before you put it 12/12 they will show signs of gender, for instance like yours its CLEARLY A GIRL. Mine is the same way im looking at the pistols as we speak but shes still has yet to go into 12/12

yea im tryin not to lol i just cant get my hands on any seeds worth planting, i took clones off the lemon haze, one rooted so far after 5 days, but im just trying to get some chronic, my hook up has NO seeds in his supa silva haze so its either keep these alive or plant some brick weed seeds..

or just spend like 50 bucks on someseeds. it will pay off in the long run. thats one thing you should alwys remember about growing bud. get the best of the best (if you can/money) your odds of making your money back and much more are GREAT!

but the taller one is lemon haze, and the bushy one is bagseed, dude called it montucky skunk. idk tho i think he wus tryn to brag bout his shit ya kno lol it wus jus some good stoney bud
