ya your right man ok so i just took out one of the plant i had and the root was not even growing at all i got it in new soil so maybe it will help and i 've got the info on on my hours the sun hits the plants at about 8:30am or so and gos down about 5pm so im try to find a place where i can get them in more sun but the only place is on the roof and i cant do that cuz of the helicopter. i got 4 more seed germing now so maybe ill have better luck there from what a friend of said to be kg kush ? but any ways wait would be your best opinion
the problem isnt just how much light they get.. its also how long they are getting it for.. when in dark, mj plants will stretch to find light... the longer the dark the larger the stretch amount.. if they are under less than 18 hours of light they will start to stretch like they would during flowering to make room for flowers...

so increasing intensity will help.. but they need more light all together.. i would suggest going out and purchasing some spiral cfls and putting around them when they are not outside... keep them under 24/0 lighting... its better to just keep them inside under the cfls tho if you can manage too.. the back and forth from outside to inside can stress the plant.. environmental differences...

btw, what are the outside temps like right now??

never heard of kg kush... og kush maybe??

its ok.. no worries.. things will be fine.. do you know how ripe the seeds were??

they came out of a bag i dono how long i had them but one is an indica and the other is a sativa..... the sativa is sexy as hell looking i love it....ill post some pics up soon cause they are looking real good. happy growing manbongsmilie
hell ya.. please post. id like to take a look

Hey man, the OTM seedlings looklike they want to do what the other seedlings do. That is they stretch, grow very small leaves while slowly discoloring until it stunts and turns pale then dies. Im feeding filtered water, 6.2 PH, let the soil dry, keep them close to the lights (theyre under t5's not some weak flourescent) Etc. The seedlings still want to stretch and keep getting lighter in color. The cotyledons on one of them is darker green than the vegitateive growth. Its merely furthuir ahead in this process than the others. Im pretty pissed to say the least. But Im just trying to catch this before it takes effect. Maby Im overworrying.theyr about 2 weeks old and that also concernes me. They dont seem to be doing much. Healthy seedlings dont really look like these ones.
how long does it take for the soil to dry out??

a plant the small under floros should only need watered once, maybe twice before transplant.. they shouldnt be soaking up a lot of water...

im concerned its your soil mix.. i think it gets wet.. but doesnt hold a lot of moisture... so the plants arent getting what they need... at least thats part of it... it looks like soil meant for bushes and shrubs.. did i ask you about the soil already?? seems familar.. but i cant ever remember...

stretching can only be solved by increasing light and light hours.... this means adding more t-5's or spiral cfls (which would be ideal)... t-5's spread their light over the length of the bulb.. so your plant only gets a portion of it... cfls have a much smaller light source.. and work much better to get things going...

also you may want to go ahead and transplant them... they may just need more root space to grow...

last thing.. you may want to think about setting up a drip system that constantly feeds over time.. this way, if it is the soil that is the problem, your plants will still get all the food and water they need..

ya i got them from a friend here and he said there kg but be that the person who give to him called it that but it could og alrite man ill try but im broke dick and my girls parents found my plant and told me to put them out side so ill try to do something

Also two of the plants with (the claw as i've heard on here)curled down leaves i have noticed that the number of blades on the leaves have dropped from 9-11 down to 1 on a couple but most are down to three and they still have another month a least of growing. I thought they did that when they were getting close to being finished growing or am i wrong and is it something else i need to tend to?

They usually dry in about 4 days. Im using organicare pure earth aerated formula.

1000watt MH in a flood and drain system. I have four girls flowering just over a month old now that were filling in nice and then two of them decided that they would stretch like crazy but the other two are fine. I know the light isnt to close because the two that were stretching are the two closest to the light. I've read that you shouldnt give your plants any nitrogin during flowering because there will be enough stored up in the plant to last the flowering cycle but the two part bloom DNF is part a 3-0-3 and part b 1-0.5-3 five ml of each a-b per liter of water. Thats the first problem!!!! Now the second problem is that all the leaves at the top 1/4 of three plants are all curling under but there still all a nice uniform green. Oh and I was wondering if it would interupt flowering or hurt the plant in any way if i cut the tops of the two plants that stretched. They stretched so much they wouldnt thickin in time for harvest and i have another room with clones that need to replenish the flowering side and i dont want the clones to get to big/tall!!! Please can someone please help me

nitrogen isnt utilized during flowering by the plant.. or at least it uses much much less than it does during veg.. if you are using a bloom nute formula that has nitrogen in it tho, its ok... it wont affect anything.. just keep it all looking nice...

i wont top your plants this late into flowering.. you may want to just tie the tops down and secure them in place.. if you want to take cuttings, take them from the bottom of the plant, where there may still be some vegging hormones left.. it may take a little longer to root, but they will.. just make sure to keep them under 24/0 lighting...

the claw usually is ph related... do you know your ph?? ph is more related to salt build ups in the soil... when you switched from veg to bloom did you transition to bloom nutes or just give them full on bloom nutes?? dont worry about the leaf counts tho.. they arent important at all.. calyxe leaves are always fewer leaves than vegging leaves...

the problem isnt just how much light they get.. its also how long they are getting it for.. when in dark, mj plants will stretch to find light... the longer the dark the larger the stretch amount.. if they are under less than 18 hours of light they will start to stretch like they would during flowering to make room for flowers...

ive never heard of that soil... but it sounds like the soil is holding moisture well..

i'd increase the light if you can and see if that doesnt do the trick...

if that doesnt then its just the seeds themselves..

Im using 4 40 what flouresent bulbs will that work for veg and flowering
yeah.. but dont expect a huge harvest and dont grow a huge plant.. keep it under 18"s... and just be reasonable with your expectations...

i think ill put them on the roof but hay two more just pop right on
congrats on the two additions.. and good luck with things... anything else i can help with please let me know..

it would help to see pics of the setup to advise you the best....

sounds like you may need to do some tieing down.... but again, i'd like to see some pics to really help out...

i would get a 600w hps if you are going to get an hps... imho 400w hps lamps are a waste of money... i have 2 i used to flower 1 time and am using them to veg now (along with other lighting) but plan to get rid of them asap..

Can you give us a post on Topping, fimming, and lollipoping techniques(what they are and how to do them)?ive been looking and looking and found a few but there very confusing and dont use laymans terms and more focus on the results they got with there plants than actually telling you how to do it.

i dont keep seedlings under a dome.. only clones

so once i soak the seeds place them in paper towel so once the tap root shows i placed them in rapid root tree bark pods with pre-drilled holes then put inside of a hot house and waited for the sprout to come up once it did i removed the humid. dome i noticed two round leaves. i keep the rapid root moist with distilled water and "super thrive"(vitamins and root hormones). the round leaves now r turning yellowish green and two pairs of true leaves r developing they're still tiny tho is this normal?

yes.. that much light can cause them to reveg.. if you could read a book then thats no good...

if you are using bloom nutes that have N in it its fine... n is not utilized as much during flowering as it is during veg.. so your plant doesnt need the levels of nitrogen during flowering as it does during veg.. but having a little N in their diets will help them stay nice and green all the way through.. like i said, its completely fine..

if they are indeed in full flower, and have been for 4+ weeks it would hurt the plant to top the taller ones.. it would be much better to bend them over and tie them in place.. topping them now will slow flowering down by a few weeks and diminish your possible harvest.. just get the flowering girls finished or throw them away.. (they may hermie due to the lighting issues.. it seems light fuck ups can cause hermies more often than other stressors.. its your call) and then start your new clones..

simpsonsampson420 i'm growing hydro not using soil. My ph is 6.2. If you check my profile you will see the pics of the plants
ill check... something sounded weird to me.. lol ill get back to you as soon as i check...

here is one on super cropping https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/288113-step-step-how-super-crop.html

here is one on FIM'ing https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/289002-step-step-how-fim.html

topping is simple... it is similar to FIM'ing in that you are cutting plant material to stimulate grow and cause multiple tops and/or branches.. but instead of pinching a small amount off (will make more sense when you read the other thread on FIM) you actually cut all the way through the stem just above the 2nd or 3rd node.. which removes the entire branch tip... this can be done all over the plant as desired.. it is more stressful than other pruning techniques since it damages the plant.. it can possibly stress a plant with weaker genetics to hermie if done multiple times.. i much prefer FIM'ing...

lollipopping is removing the entire 2/3 to 3/4 of the plant from the main stem... you cut the lower branches off at the main stem wherever there are nodes.. when you are done your plant will look like a lollipop essentially.. a plant on a stick... this allows the plant to focus its energy on producing buds that are closest to the light.. it can be very stressful depending on how many branches are removed and how strong/weak the plant is... so do with caution of hermies.. super cropping is an easy way to make all branches flower nicely and avoid this....

if you would like a more detailed example... or even a picture tutorial.. i could probably do either.. just let me know.. or if you have any other questions..

yeah.. this is normal... the round leaves are just starter leaves and will eventually die and fall off anyways... so dont worry about that...

once you see roots popping out of the side of the cubes they need to be transplanted...

as the leaf sets start coming out growth rates will increase... the round leaves wont die until there is one set of developed leaves tho...

ok thats good thanks. using that superthrive is ok isnt it? soooo the grow speeds up when the other leaves come?

did you ease on the bloom nutes or just jump full blast??

No i just gave them there full dose of bloom. After coming on this site i realized that i should ease them over not just blast them. They are all tied back all ready. In the last week when it all started they have gronw about 14 inches and there suppose to be flowering.:wall: One out of the four is growing fine nothing happend to it, but it's also a different strain from the other three.

If you had to choose what would you do?
cut down the 2 stretched stringy plants to put in clones that i have going already or let them ride out? Will it fill in?
The table is a foot off the ground and the 1000 watt light is 24inches away, that leaves me with 6 feet of grow room and the 2 plants are 5.5 feet after the stretch now the plants are to tall for the room
All the issues are all on the top third of the plant.
I just noticed the nutrients for bloom has more nitrogin in it then the gro does this sound right?
