Grow room/temperature setup question (pic)

This is a 400watt mH, just for my own personal use. It can get up to 91 degrees in this space in my closet. Will this be a problem for vegetating only? Flowering is cooler and with an HPS.

probably would help to mention there is a glass on bottom of reflector, and a 160cfm fan on other end of light blowing the heat into ducting

I've run high temperatures for long periods in the past, with indica/sativa hybrids, high being >85 degrees during veg and at both low and high humidity, without CO2 and constant airflow. Your plants will truly suffer in the heat, and you can be certain growth will slow. Sativas will take over 100 degrees outside, but even they did not do well in an enclosed space at that temp.
But, I would think you can get that temperature down just with a larger exhaust fan.

You need to ditch that cheapo axial fan and get yourself a decent 4" inline.

That'll solve the majority of your problems.

You'll (obviously) also need a 6-4 reducer to make it fit that reflector, or get a 6" inline which would thoroughly fix things.

businesslights.com is where I've gotten all my fans from - the Valuelines, cheap and work great.

That 6" axial fan isn't doing shit for - it's not meant to be used for anything but helping already moving air move slightly faster down ducting - it doesn't have enough strength to move much (if any) air on its own.

If you can put your hand on the glass and the hood and not get to uncomfortable than your cooling is OK. But I think it's to hot so have a look here.
