Wonders Medical Grow: Round 2

Just a word of advice from someone who has been batteling these fuckers for months, do not spray your plants in flower. It will do far more damage than the mites. As stated above, using a rag or sponge and wiping the tops and bottoms of your fan leaves works great. I have tried severl products and had the best results with FoxFarm's Dont Bug Me. It is fairly cheap and works the best out of all the things I tried(BingBang, Einstien Oil, Safer Soap, and Dont Bug Me) They tend to hang out on the leaves, but that doesnt mean they're not on stems and buds. They seem to leave buds and leaves that are covered in trichomes alone. Otherwise just do what you can to keep your temps in the low 70's and rh at about 45%. This with the wiping will help control them if it doesnt get rid of them. And if you know for sure that you have them, make sure you do a full cleaning of all equiplent and the room before the next ones go in. And I mean everything(light hood, pots, meters, nutrient bottles, baboos sticks) if it was in the room during infestation, clean with bleach water if possible, otherwise submerge in real hot water for at least 30 sec.

hope u took some clones of that purple stuff. looks a little stretchy, like i'd maybe top it a couple more times next time ... but i bet it ends up yielding well for you.

Integra- thanks for the tips. There are not very many that are visible right not and I think I got most off with sponging. I do have Don't Bug Me and will definitely keep that in mind.

Da Gambler- I did take clones off the purple, I started super cropping one in veg and it is responding well so I may stick to that. Buds are real airy so Im not sure if its a yielder. If its quality, it will have to of course stay in the garden.

So I fed both veg and flower today. Added Mollasses to the flowering plants and I have never used it before. The buds are looking great, and I couldn't be happier with how big they are for day 26. Excited to see how they respond after this feeding. They are drinking about 8 gallons every other day in the flowering room. Did a strain count of the garden today:
I have a hard time letting things go but I know I should just find 5 that I like and hold onto them (and of course take new ones.....)

At this point, I really could use a pound. With all that wattage there is no reason why the yield can't be there too. In a few weeks I will definitely make a guess and be interested in what others think as well, for now, cross my fingers, relax, and treat them nice.....

Thanks for your compliments. This grow is really taking shape and I am hoping that they don't stop swelling for a while. This will be by far the biggest harvest yet. I am about to throw 3 -4 more plants into flower. Purple Urkel, AK-47, Wonder Woman, Train Wreck. I really want to try out some of the new strains and get a a feel on how they like to be treated in flowering.....

Big Boy Project is coming along. I have made some major headway in planning and have been doing some thorough research and planning.
I have been doing some thinking and on this current grow I did a lot of building with wood, that is not transportable nor useable again. I would like to customize everything so it is transportable. Tents, trays(no 4X8 trays here), tray stands. If I end up working in a garage, I will probably build a large self supporting tent out of PVC, and use sidewall material from festival canopies(weddings, etc) maybe it could be a greenhouse in the future?

If I can pull a pound per light it would make it worth it, but as you pointed out before, I could afford to lose the whole crop....
Flower:
(4-6) 1000w HPS Ballasts, bulbs, cords. I have also found some excellent glass for cooltubes and some cheap inline fans (1 per 2k hps). Not sure if the cooltubes will be neccesary yet...... Trying to trade for a large AC.......

Flip Flop Box and a light controller(probably a CAP MLX8?)
Build PVC Frame for elavated tables, to house smart pots.
Coco with a drip system. (drain to waste)

Natural gas c02?

Veg:
I am going to build a 4x8x8 PVC Frame, and cover it with sidewall(from large festival tents; weddings etc) and then run my 2 400mh in the xttra sun hoods with an inline fan for veg....

If the money is there, I will buy a 4X8X8. Also have a 2 4X4 trays in there to house all the vegging plants.

It all sounds good, save for the run to waste part - with an op that size, you're gonna go poor buying nutes.

I'd highly recommend a recirculating system.

I hear ya. That is something to think about. I think it will be fine...... Im gonna stay with what I know for now It could be diasterous to switch techniques with more on the line than normal. Im gonna stick to coco bricks, and perlite...

Hey your alive! Leroy is very happy...... Have been handling him a little bit. He has only pooped twice and has had 6 -8 rats since you gave him to me. Plants are looking great, Everyday they keep swelling up. at 30 days flowering on the last run it never looked like this. Chop will probably be around the 10th of febuary......Good to see you, will talk soon....

still looking good i got a bunch of strains going too. purple widow in flower. special kush flower, mom, clone. big bang flower, mom, clone. lemon skunk i am veging my 2 free i saved from the tude. i tried my luck with afghani ryder SUCKS. 4 fem seeds had given me 2 males and 2 screwy females. i have a few pure ak(ak48 female seeds) vegging and i have a seed bank of all my freebies from like 6 orders from the tude plus a bunch from single seed i have yet to crack. did you have any hermies with your purple widow? i have one and i seperated her out into a cfl setup to finish because im greedy and want those feminized seeds and maybe ill collect a little pollen. have you ever had any seeds in your stuff that you cracked and grew or done any breeding.
