Why in the world would I want to quit doing something that I LOVE? I know this is a foreign concept for you Med, but there are those, like me, who never set out to settle for mediocrity ... or a meager pension. Every job I've ever had as an adult, I've loved ... especially the profession I'm in now. I get up at five AM every day, six days a week ... and work my ass off at something I love to do. You have no idea how my efforts have created wealth for others, Med. You have no idea how many people my efforts have pulled out of the desperation of being dead-end renters and turned into, not only home owners, but landlords as well. Like I've said here in the forum many times, success in life comes when you help other people get what THEY want. But, of course, you're a union man and think management is nothing more than a collection of DorkWads, so that concept is way beyond you. Nuff said on that subject.
Hey, work till you drop. I never had a job that didn't require some modicum of physical labor and my body tells me every day. Run an 8lb sledghammer setting concrete forms for 10 years and see what it does to your joints, how many million blows did I jar my elbow, wrist, shoulder with? My body thanks me for retiring it from the onslaught of physical labor. If I'd of had an office job, maybe I would see it differently, but believe me when I say, I enjoy not having to be anywhere at anytime for anybody. Money is a nice incentive VI, but how much is enough. If you really think you are helping people and you enjoy it, then Kudos.

I was referring to work ethic in the sense that some people were too lazy (or "high" as they like to put it as if there is a difference) to back up what they said with evidence. It had to do with research and validating one's beliefs with evidence, not how much physical labor one has committed to in their life.
