My only problem with CFL's is that they produce too much heat, thats why I love t-5's...NO HEAT!

who cares different light's for different set up's
When using CFL's you have to make sure you have good air movement or else it will get hot quick. For the first 2 weeks of my grow I had CFL's and it made my cabinet and my room get very very hot. Then I upgraded to the my T-5 setup and I have never looked back...

Well here is the updated photos of the Bubba Kush at the start of week 5. I have noticed that the leaves are starting to turn yellow, and I might have a bit of nute burn...so if you see something out of the ordinary let me know!
They look really good to me man I am excited for you :hump:

I mess with my girls pretty often during the night cycle and haven't had a problem had a problem my last two grows...

I think theres other factors that play a MUCH larger role in determining plant sex and stressing girls into hermies.

Im not saying I recommend this or that it is a good thing to do but honestly from my personal experience as long as you dont stress them to badly and give them the proper nutes they should be ok even if you mess with them a little at night here and there.

So honestly im not sure how major it is, maybe some strains are less stable than others.

I have noticed that feeding flowering nutes earlier and starting the 12/12 cycle early has very dramatically increased the amount of females.

:peace:

Sorry but it is NOT fact.

Interupting the dark cycle DOES increase the chances of getting hermie plants and thats it.

Please tell me how it screws the plants?

Sometimes I only get a chance to water them during the dark cycle and yes I turn the lights on...my current plants are fine and I have harvested happy girls in the past.

I have read plenty...and personal experience is worth alot more than a book buddy.

Reread wherever you read that and it will say it only increases the chance of hermies.

Yes total darkness is IDEAL.

I have been through about half a dozen complete grows.
