Hey man telemarketers are just doing their job. Thats what they are paid to do, I never understood ignorant rants and flames back at them for just doing their damn job like you and me or anybody else man.
Yes, you are correct those people are just doing their jobs and put up with a lot of shit. I honestly respect them for at least trying and not being on welfare. But.....look at what their job is. Trying to sell someone something that they do not want to buy. If I want carpet for my living room, I am not going to wait on a phone call from someone making 6.50 an hour that has never seen the product to sell it to me. I know there are carpet stores all over my town, if I want carpet I know how to find it myself, and when I want it. Not at dinner time or when I am putting the kids to bed. Yes, unfortunetly, I have given them a hard time myself until the no-call list. I actually loved to have my kids "act up" and I ask them to hang on a second. Then I would lay the phone down and start "yelling" at the kids. The kids loved it and next thing I knew the phone was beeping for being off the hook to long, the longest before the phone started beeping once was 45 minutes. I was getting worried the cops were going to show up investigating a child abuse in progress. Never happened, but think of the laugh when the cop picked up the phone to talk to the telemarketer on the other end....priceless
