Flowering too long?

Is it bad for a plant to go beyond the typical flowering stage for that strand?

I dont have a clue what strand it is, but I do know that its an 8 week flower strand... it should have been completely finished around the second week of december, and I'm still seeing milky hairs, only a very few turning red.

The kolas also arent shaping up like I would like them too.. the last time around, my hand wouldn't fit around the majority of them, and I'm not seeing much close to that this time around, yet.

We did have a fight with spider mites, and whiteflies which I'm still working on getting rid of.

And at this point.. I've been using "week 8" nutes for almost 3 weeks after they should have been done, which made me a bit worried so I've gone to just straight flushing....

Medium : Soil / Miracle grow ( yes yes, i know.. I've since switched to FF)
Lights: 4 1000w, then had electricity issues and brought it down to 3 lights on movers, and didnt like that so put it to 3 stationary 1000s.
Temp: 75*-85*
C02- 15/hour

I honestly cannot figure out what the issue is, but its long over due, and is definitely needed soon.

I'll post some pictures if needed..

pic would be nice but if you go look at FDD grow he has a great thread on when its done. i go buy that thread. it helped me to know premuture, and done ready to cut. check it out should answer all your questions . but they tell you that it will bedone in 8 weeks but thats not set in stone. some plants take longer, good luck

Thanks for your quick response...

I did forget to add that this isnt a new strand to me, and my last go around was almost exactly 3 months, from clone to harvest. Now, I'm almost a month behind when I should have been done, and no ideas why. I'll try and post pictures tonight.

you can't really flower too long, unless the plant dies and dries up
some growers flower until the plant is pretty much gone

If you haven't grown it yet, and you don't know what it is, it's hard to say it's an 8 week strain. Plants don't have timers, if it's still producing new growth, it's probaby not done. Sorry, missed he part about it NOT being new to you, makes it a bit more ponderous, but i'd just go with it...
