First time growing and i need a list of supplies

Im thinking of growing in a rubbermaid box and setting up eco friendly lights (hfl? i dunno) but i need to know the best way and cheapest way to do this. Soil, nutes, water, light wattage , HOW LONG it takes to grow on a normal basis (growing 1 plant for personal use) basic advice, lighting schedules and any other thing you could possibly think of, it would help me tremendously. If everything goes well i'll be able to post some pictures and show you how i do. oh yeah im growing bag seed i got from a friend he has no idea what it is but ive already germinated and but them in very small containers till i build what i need, ill probably just start over but i wanted to grow so bad i just started without any preparation

the least expensive and most effective two part nutrient is from Envy Hydro Nutrients. You only change the A and B mix from veg to bloom, ph balanced, great potassium and phosphoros for bloom.

Ok to start off answering your questions is one light you use for growing weed is
:Compact Florecents (veg) Mh or hps (flowering)

How long does it take to grow a normal basis? Im going to answer a couple of your q's in this one.....

When you plant you want to give it 18-24 hours of light a day.......people usually let them stay in veg for about 2 months, sum do less sum do more. The biger the plant the more buds. Then you will need to change your lightiing you will want to give it 12hr light 12hrs dark. this is called sexing your plant. you will do this for the rest of the time your plant is alive. It usually take about 1-2 weeks to see if your plant is a female or male. FEMALE pruduce the BUDS, MALES you cut them and throw in your trash.

As i noob, i know you think you only have one or two questions and thats all youll need to get you started and finished. Well, every question leads to another question and another. Its really in everyones best interests if you read read read first, then put it into practice, THEN ask questions.

Just asking for a list of supplies and what to do with them just is not practical. Everyones situation, preferences, and experiences are different. There are hundreds of tutorials about how to start out in this forum with lists and all that for you to enjoy.
