bright as fuck in there thats for sure. waiting on them to pop on any time now so i can start on my tan... lol:bigjoint: im sure in a weeks time i will see a difference.
i wouldnt think it'd take long to see the difference....

very true, but ever think of just using 1 auto to produce seeds with a photo girl? idk just some food for thought. a few extra in a veg room never hurts!
1 auto + 1 photoperiod = 1 plant that may have some auto flowering tendencies but very washed out...

auto flowering/ruderalis (in the scheme of things) is already a recessive trait.. it was added in just enough to make the auto flowering work.. but not enough to over dominate the original marijuana strains... think of it in terms of seasoning a steak.. you add enough salt and pepper to add flavor, but not enough to make them the main flavors.. thats some what the idea with ruderalis.. just enough to get the auto flower and thats it...

so you take an auto that is 1/2 and 1/2 ruderalis and indica/sativa and then add in some more indica or sativa from a full photo girl then the auto trait gets washed out.. enough that is is possible the off spring of the mix doesnt auto flower at all.. maybe it would make them onset flowering faster when they are flipped.. but thats hard to say.. i dont know enough about breeding to be for sure...

but your idea was one i have thought about and read about.. its a good idea in thought, doesnt work in practice tho.. such are a lot of things..

plus, with my set up the way it is i cant afford to have males.. i strictly use fem'd seeds... dont have the space to give up to males nor do i want to spend 8 weeks vegging a plant just to find out i have to cut it down cause its a male..

Looking good in there.... I ran some autos, white dwarf, and road runner? both were good. the white dwarf was absolutely killer, I was so bummed I couldn't take clones. I live on a fairly busy street, with some businesses around, which I think attracts the hoodlums. A couple times of year in my town/city they show arrests of some teens/ colleg kids caught for a string of car jackings. Pisses me off...... Wish there was something more I could do....... Need to prepare, they will be going strong once the weather warms up.

What did you pull per light on recent runs?

well... as far as i can remember back here are my harvest amounts..

2 harvests ago i got 1.5 lbs of 22 girls under just the 4 floros... there was many things wrong with this grow.. mainly i have 3 to 7 plants per pot... all 22 of them were split in 5 pots... so and i did nothing to control canopy height or anything.. it was scattered.. bad grow all around...

last harvest i pulled 2.5 lbs of 9 girls which was the first hydro run i did... i had multiple problems with this grow as well.. res temps through the roof... room temps in the 100s... nute burn.. plants dieing... short veg times... but i did add 2 x 400w hps lamps late into flowering.... for a first attempt and 6 different strains plus the problems i was happy...

i am hoping to double or quadruple that.. i would love to get 1lb per plant.. that would make me happy and feel accomplished..

Those numbers are still doing good. Definitely room for improvement. This grow should reflect all of your knowledge and experience. I hear ya, I am just starting to get into my proddductive time. My first 2 grows were very primitive and I spent very little money/ effort. My last grow(which was my "real 1st grow ") only pulled a few ounces. Now things are moving, and rolling and I am hoping to hit at least a pound. I am setting something up similar to you. Except vertical lighting and the whole room will be run on a flip flop so I can run 2 rooms at the same time.

every grow ive done ive learned more and more.. every grow i've had new issues to deal with so its been constantly evolving... what started out in a 5x6 space in my basement has moved to what it is now.. its taken a year and a half to get here.. but its nice being here...

the biggest change has been from soil to hydro and figuring it out.. but now that i feel more than comfortable with it i am really pushing for results...

i eventually want to set up coliseum that i can fill with clones from these beastly vegging girls i get... then i can keep a coliseum turning out perpetually as well as the larger grow...

but i really want to get large yields per plant.. thats my main goal... the way my system and room are set up i am better off going with fewer plants and allowing them to get larger... makes things a little easier too.. even if i cant get to them i can distinguish the different plants.. in the auto room where i have 27 i cant tell them apart real well..

I am growing vertical. I am a believer. If the yield is there, then I am too. I started with flourescents in a 3X4 space, and then to another 400w closet, and then to my previous grow, and the rest is document on RIU. Try some big trees if you are looking for huge yields per plant. I have a thing for big trees so I am definitely thinking about vegging longer in the future. I am keeping a little strain bank of 15 strains right now, which is rough. Need to narrow that down to some big yielders. All the people who are pulling wieght are running minimal strains.

im down to 4 strains.. and think that is the magic number as of right now.... just enough variety for me to keep happy... when i do the coliseum i may add a small mother room and keep a few mothers in dirt for it also to add a bit more variety to my life...

i am pretty much growing as big as i can... the flower room is 7x9 and the veg room is only 5x8.. so when they move over they will have an extra 23 square feet to expand out... hopefully a 60+ day veg, 4 square feet of space each, and 4000w of light can reach my goal.. i have thought about cutting down to 12 girls after this grow so they have more room to bush out, i would have more room to move, and i could keep things more level since i could reach things easier... it will really depend on what they do in flowering tho...

i spent fucking 45 minutes super cropping 13 of 16 girls.... the 3 i didnt do were just the smaller of the bunch.. so i wanted to just let them gain some height... i was counting tops i was cropping.. i wanted to see how many i had.. i stopped counting at 250.. it was probably around 300 total tho.. something like 20 to 25 tops per plant.... :) i cant wait....

oh... and the autos are starting to show trichs.. they smell extremely sweet...

thanks bro.. its all that super cropping...

i am really looking forward to getting rid of the 2 x 400s i have in the veg room and getting 2 more floros...

I have started doing some supercropping in my veg room. I veg with flouros as well, but not near as many so I definitely try and keep the lights within a few inches. Supercropping has bade my life easier........
Glad to hear the trichs are showing. My flowering room is swellling lke crazy..... Gonna be a good harvest......

i love these floros.. if they werent so fucking expensive... i wish they would come down from the 500 dollar price tag... there is rumor of an 8 bulb configuration they are working on also.. that would be sick...

good to hear your flowering is coming along as well... cant wait until harvest time!

Thats pricey. I picked up some T8 8 bulb stand alone panels for $2 each brand new. It was a freak deal and I bought all 4 of them. I can light up a 4X8 area with flouros. It is sweet. What makes the ones you have so fancy? They are t5s I assume, 6 tube?

simpsonsampson420

they arent t5s... they are tt105s...

each ballast has 4 bulbs.. each bulb is 105ws and 11000 lumens.. so each ballast is 420ws total and 44000 lumens...

they are super high output.. they work better and produce better than an equivalent hps bulb...

max running temp on them is 90 degrees F... so you can keep them as close to your plants as you would t5s or any other floro... i even keep it within 5 inches of new sprouts with no problems at all...

Good morning all! Sounds sick. Would love to have a few of them. Never heard of those before. Will have to do a little research. my 8 bulb T8s are 32w per bulb(@ 48"). 256w per panel. They still def get the job done.... THink each bulb puts out 2700 lumens. What you got blows it out of the water......

sunleaves satellite IV floros.... worms way used to carry them.. but stopped.. im sure its because people couldnt understand paying that much for floros.. i was VERY skeptical myself.. until i used them.. and now i have a secret crush on them... lol

I got a crush on them too sampson....I think the the fact that the light source is stretched out instead of a single point like HID lights and deserves bounus points for that.

Interesting point about the light being stretched rather than emmited from one point. 44,000 lumens is similar to a 400w I believe. That is sweet. I am skeptical about the price, and I can obviously live without. Will definitely keep them in mind for future......
