ok so i think you mean to use something like miracle grow? i used that the last time and it stunted and burnt my plant. i though it was bad to use miracle grow or are you on about soils such as fox farm etc? i have no access to these?

I use Mirical grow with perlite and think it works well... Although I use clones so they'd handle the fertilizer unlike a seed..

You could use spagnum moss too cool it down as such..

Whats the best months for outdoor growing over here..?? I've some good spots in the Wicklow mountains,
Anyone grew in their back garden..??
Do the guards have heat sensor cams??
When was the last time you bought weed..?

iv grown outdoor for the last 4years, id advise an early flowering mould resistant strain due to the state of our summers/septembers. plant on a south facing tree line for best sun exposure and camo, the buds ripen in late august/sept/oct when the sun is lower so give this cconcideration when choosing a spot.you dont want them recieving no light in the flowering phas, due to trees or other obstacles, after recieving loads of veg light when the sun was really high.
the guards have heat sensors, iv heard them gettin calls off the ESB about suspicios energy consumption(the guy had about 10 reptiles with heat lamps to boot when the guards came a knockin,he was in a flat and id say the lamps were chewin up about 100-200watts each which is a fuck load for a flat)
and they check for attic set ups by checking that the roofs dont frost over or some bullshit.
last time i bought weed in ireland was about 3years ago thanks be to jaysus, grit weed is still very promanant round my parts, such a shame...

Do you grow from seed or clone...??
Would auto-flowering strains work better with our shitty climate...?

grew from seed, dont have much cloning under the belt, start them inside on the windowsill cos pests love to eat seeds from the inside out, and slugs make light work of seedlings, if you clone outdoor plants and bring them in its very rewarding.
auto strains would do the job but a semi auto would be better, lowryders n all them dont really produce well outside(if a decent harvest is what your lookin for)
have a gander at these danish seeds, theyd be wopper in our climate.

2 weeks in to flowering and small flowers are starting to appear..
Hoping they'll be finished in time for my spring cloning project which will have my clones ready for planting outside for the summer..

I'm thinking that since June 21st is the longest day of the year, then that should be the day the flowering starts.. ???

This will be my first gourilla grow so any hints or tips welcomed..

yeah flowering starts in late august and september and sometimes til late october depending on the strain, id seriously advise eary bloomers.

March 21st (Vernal Equinox)
September 21st(Autumnal Equinox)

I would have thought mid september be to late to start flowering...??

I'm thinking of having them out vegging from Late march and have them starting to flower by start of june,
This would mean me moving the plant in the morning and then again 12 hours later back in to a black box..
Think some would find that a pain in the arse but I think id enjoy it..
You could easily put the plant out at night if you wanted to go out anywhere or have a lay on that morning.. Just have to find out what time sun rise was that day and add 12 hours..
Am thinking too much in to this and just grow indoor..??

As for the gourilla grow then some sort of auto flower or a strain designed for our shitty climate...
But as far as I can see it, you'll need to be planting sooner than later, what sun we do get, you want shining on those developing buds..
The last two years we've had a hot spell in June.. This year I'll be prepeared....

My Lab consists of 5 x PPP 5 weeks in, 5 x PPP 2 weeks in, 12 x PPP in veg, 3 mothers (PPP) supporting the ever ending supply, Bio-bizz nutes and a must have in every grow room ''molasses'', 2 x 600 HPS & 1 x 400 Mh.

Went home for the new year and paid €100 for 7 grams of poor quality locally produced rubbish, No wonder you guys are finally waking up to the benefits of producing your own and 80% cheaper ...

Hoping to switch to LED set up over the coming weeks, (funds permitting)

just keep in mind that Ireland is placed at latitute 53N ~ and the likes of Cali is 35N and New York is 40N, Helsinki 60N!
