Yes, but not badly until flowering, DIY carbon filter tutorials are everywhere, investing in one will probably be worth your while. You have a little while to get it done though because you won't get massive odor during veg

Yeahh they wont smell to much in veggin but once they start to flowering and bud up you should probably get a carbon filter.

Depending on strain and how big u want them to grow. For two plants, check in to a ona bucket. No need to spend $300, unless u plan on upgrading ur room sooner than later.
