Aero/nft ????? Res question

Hey buds im about to switch my steez up and do an aeroponic grow. I was thinking of doing a nft/aero grow but not to sure. I will be growing 64 in 8rows of 8. I got 3 1000w ushios and lumatek ballasts. What i need to know is about the resevior. Im not sure how big of a res ill need and not sure how close to stuff the plants for optimal root grow and yeild. Kind of adapting heaths aero and needing some help.im growing endless sky and hashberry so any pointers will be mucho appreciated. Ohhh yeah hoods are xxxl magnums 6" thinking of buying a water chiller but dont know too much about those. Thankx

Since your gonna grow 2 strains, i would recomend 1 res. for each strain, 50 gal. minimum each

50 gal is way to big for nft. i did a 40 site with a 28 gal res and 2 pumps. it's basically a recycling system so your not going to use that much of your rez between nute changes. if your using 2 rez you can probably go with 18-20 gals each.

thanks room is 13x15 so if i keep res away from grow will i need a chiller??

I would recomend a chiller unless you can keep your rez temps under 72. The rez pumps in an NFT usually raise your rez temps.

depends on how much it will have to run...I have a very small chiller for a 17 gal rez...it would depend on your rez size and how much temp drop you will have to regulate

agree with Skinny. i would suggest getting an interval timer for your pump. mine runs 5min off 1min on and my rez never goes over 70, no chiller. but thinking of getting the 1/10hp chiller for the the summer months. my last grow i just had some duct tubing blowing in the hole of the rez to keep it cool. worked great.
