need help with homemade hookah please!

Ok so Im trying to make a hookah.. Im using a glass jar for the base and some plastic tubing for the hoses. but I dont know what to use to make a bowl and the stem to go to the base. any ideas? i know smoking out of a pop can is bad. can i use copper for the stem? or stainless steal would be ok right? now for the bowl.. all soft metals are bad cause they break down easier right? I dont know what soup cans are made out of but would that kind of metal be ok? any help would be greatly appreciated. cheers

Don't know about you're 'crafting' experience, but I would suggest clay for the top bowl. Mould it easy, few holes in the base and scorch to solidify.

I bought a ready made, average hookah and have since modified the visual aspects (bowl and neck) to suit my liking, without the worry of building the integral pipe parts.

i actualy didnt think of making a clay bowl instead of buying one haha can you buy clay at any craft store? does it matter what kind it is i would think that most isnt toxic to smoke out of?

do not use soup cans. those contain lead inside them, once you open they start releasing it plus they will rust.
as the dude over said, try clay.
actually if you get some good ceramic clay, you can do a cool design then get somebody to "cook" for you, so it gets hard.
the best thing for the stem is obviously glass. look up how you can cut glass at home.
actually glass is the best for all of it. and do the bowl in ceramic.

shit eh no soup can.. fuck haha shes already done, w.e it was pretty much im fuckn bored at 4am and iv always wanted a hookah kinda thing haha. w.e ill just re make the bowl and stem in the morning when the stores are open. heres a pic of it to show what it looks like but i will make a clay bowl and most likely glass stem if i can or ill use stainless steel.

the stems marker tubes haha i kno plastic isnt the greatest but w.e i was just bored i was guna make it all properly in the morning anyway and the bowl is soup can.. haha

Ahhh when I was young and building those things the hardest part was always the bowl. Untill I found a few old garden hoses, I had a few female ends with 6-10 inches of hose and would just keep using them in whatever bong I made.

yee i remeber those days when i was young n couldnt get pipes or bongs haha. i was just really bored early in the morning with no weed till during the day needed a way to entertain myself haha

haha thanks man, yee iv made sum prety gheto bongs n pipes. made a pipe out of a snorkel once when i was 12 haha it looked gheto but it hit like a mofo
