you have a backhoe? i'm jealous.
Well no. Just my machine for plowing.

yea I was just checking out chillers. soo damn expensive. The oil cooler is 48 dollars, it's bigger than the one from Hydro Innov. So 48+13.95 for the duct work. Some line, a few fittings. I'm thinking under 100. I already have most of what I need.
It would be so nice if I could cool the room without AC. I will buy a chiller eventually. They are fucking expensive though. The 1/10 Hp is about 379.00
The "ice box" is on the exhaust side. It acts as an AC if you can keep the water cold enough. Hydro-Innovations had their temps comming out at 58.
I'm undescided. I might use my mini fridge with a copper coil in a 3 gallon bucket in water. From there it will go to the to the resevour as in the pic. I'll use the mini fridge as a chiller.
Here's a pic from H I
it's supposed to cool down the room then in turn cooling down the hood and the bulb.how does that cool the light if it is after it? why not put it before the bulb? i draw in 30 degree air over my hot bulbs.
i'd turn that fan around.it's supposed to cool down the room then in turn cooling down the hood and the bulb.
I thought the fan would be drawing air in tho and not exhausting it like in that picture.. seems like it'd be more effective that way
i'd turn that fan around.
but it could have a "theory". i haven't looked that deep into it.

I watched the video when you posted it but I watched it before I read the thread you posted so I didnt really understand it all when I was watching the video but fully understand it now and like the idea. but if I was going this route, I would definitely have a drain line for the condensation that'll build but I know you got all that on lock alreadyIt cools the air comming out which in turn cools the room. If you have a few in a row they are on both sides. Watch the video and tell me what you think.
well of course the air coming OUT is cold. it is coming from a chiller and it's not even passing over the lights.I thought the same thing but if you watch the video the guy has 3 1000's and the air comming out is 58 degrees That's cooler than an AC. This way I can use Co2 and have a sealed grow. Maybe just have an exhaust for high RH, maybe just a dehumidier for the winter. Many options.
Wife and 3 kids are flying to Peru for the next 2 months. Looks like I'll be setting up the Hydro in the kids room, hehe.
I've been framing in the city, and looks as if I got a few weeks so I might buy a chiller but I'm definatley making the heat exchange.

you are cooling the exhaust not the lights. why not cool the lights?
your seedlings look beautiful.
