Don't run and hide, have some conviction in your words, yes this is a mostly american forum, but its an open one and you like everyone else, are entitled to an opinion. Be strong!!

Today I remember how thankful I am that I am not American

You may be on to something, but wherever you're from, just hope your country doesn't need a helping hand from US the bad guys. We'd probably loan you money and take your oil, or put a chemical factory in the middle of a populated area, Bohpal anyone. It's not the people of America that are so bad, it's the government and the corporations that are giving US a bad name. There are some really good people in this country, just like all countries.

No one will be able to change your already established hatred (or what YOU call it) for the united states
I am a United States Marine who doesn't care what color you are, what country your from, what religion you practice or what your income is. I am a proud American with no hatred for any country. Smoke some bud and take your blinders off
Wow a marine that's a bushies ... almost a contradiction in terms ... harted for america is the euphemism bushie give to people that point out the crimes of this regime and past.

If you were truly a proud american you would be outraged by the crimes that are committed in our name.

You need to follow your own advice ... perhaps if you take YOUR blinders off you will see they aren't wearing any.:neutral:

What an asinine title for a thread. This is why the rest of the world hates us. Why should the rest of the world be thankful for America? We as Americans should be thankful we have so many freedoms. But leave the rest of the world out of it. Many, many countries and ppl would be better off if America didn't exist.
But, of course, we could all be speaking German right now if America didn't exist. Who Knows? Just don't make an asshole out of yourself and say the rest of the world should be thankful for us.
You're a retard if you think the world should be thankful for the US. We should be thankful for the US. And that's enough.

Why should we give thanks to America?
I found out a while back there is no point, they never see past the red whit and blue!!

For years America has been against terror and ''claimed'' never to support it. So why is it for years they have supported the IRA with weapons and money. We are not talking about your average joes here sitting in a bar, these guys are known high ranked Irish-American officials. Now if you want to stop you would think after 35 years of supporting a world wide terrorist orginisation they would learn, but it still happens today.

We can then go on and talk about Battle of Mogadishu, Iraq and even the good eye the Americans have for the British troops.

They say America is the freeland or something like that, have you read the Patriot Act? Again another act to allow the government to tighten its grip on ''thinking outside the box''.

By the looks of things it is not just me wo has serious views/issues with YOUR country.

I agree but some of them are just so set in there ways they can never see the truth. That all comes down to the government and the way the media puts things over.

Nothing better than a nice debate. :hump:

The american government is very good at selling their people these ideals, the people lap them up and believe, only those with an open mind can see the reality.

Too true. Not all of us are that easily brainwashed, tho.
I can't stand the ppl who think it's un-american to question the gov't. It's that kind of thinking that is bringing America down.

Thats the way America is setup though, never to question.
Everyone is lead to believe that what is happening is right but like we have said it is all missleading by the government and media.

I hear people saying thank god were in america and not a european country.

Well England isn't massively different, we protest and they do what they want anyways.

You to go a european country though, if the government did something the people were dead set against, the government would most definitely know about it. Take a look at france spain or most continental countries.

Nongreen, remember mate it is not just Englands government, dont forget your superiour neighbours on top of you ;)

The government has alot to do with what info is released and what time it is released. Elections, time of year.... all that gets taken into concideration first.

I don't believe a word a politician says, theres not one out there that i believe is above corruption.

Everything in our lives is put in front of us as a distraction to take our minds away from whats really going on, the people are just being used by the powers that be.

To the politicians running a country is like playing a stratergy video game, like sim earth or something, they just think they can do whatever they want and people will just follow their set paths never even thinking of questioning the truth.

Unfortunately though there are not enough free minds in the world to set the rest free,
