mold on clones

Hey guys
I started a few clones and 2 of them started growing mold at the base of the stalks. I tried peroxide and rubbing alcohol, dabbing with a moist Q-tip. Have done this for a few days with no success. Does anybody know how to get rid of the mold

try cutting and rerooting and make sure the next round you have a sterile grow spot

Thanks Ontario grower. All cutting ETC was sterile. I think the real reason why I got mold was because I had too much branch underneath the soil.

Hello to whoever looks at this post
I think I found the problem. The stalks of the clones that grew mold, were too far in the soil and to compound the problem, the stalk had no rooting power on the upper part of the stalk that is in soil. Does this sound like the likely culprit?
