hello all, hope you all have had a good first full week of 2010!
plants are looking great, had a little mishap with some ph problems.
remember when i said i ran out of distilled water and decided to use my city tap water?
baaadd idea...the ganesh didnt seem harmed by it except for a lil bit of slow growth.
the hashplant haze on the other hand developed black/brown spots and yellowing on older fan leaves because the ph problem caused a magnesium lockout.
but dont be alarmed! i ran down to wally world as soon as this started happening and grabbed some distilled water and mixed some molasses into one of the gallon jugs to help supplement more calcium and magnesium.
hph bounced back and is looking a lot healthier followed with a super fast growth spurt.
i did some foliar feedings on all three seeing as there was some nute lockouts i figured i could dilute a solution and mist em; guess it worked.
this week ive also be doing a little LSTing on the plants to help get more light to the lower canopy. the hph responded the fastest and best to the lst and basically within a few hours it had 11 protruding tops overlapping the fan leaves.
the ganesh definitely loved it too.
i attached some root pics, hope they came out good, just of the bottom of the 2L/3L they are in.
pics are as follows.
1 = top of g1
2 = side of g1 you can see the pipe cleaners i used for lst
3 = bottom of the "pot" crazy root structure
4 = top of g2
5 = lst of g2
6 = root structure
7 = top(s) of hph
8 = tied down
9 = strongest root structure of the 3
thanks for stopping by and happy growing!
