500$ to spend... But on what?

This friday ill be getting 500$. im trying to figure out what i need to buy for my Plants...
I already have a 150wHPS. so i dont think i need anymore lights (unless you think otherwise)
I have 3 females (i plan on cloning.)
my grow space is my walk in closet. about 3-4ft wide, about 7-8ft in length, and 10ft in height.
i want to go hydro, and at the same time im trying to save some money.
so can someone list me EVERYTHING im going to need?

does HPS grow better than T5s? i need to know whats better than HPS or is HPS the best that it will get.
and is this needed? or can i wait till later to grab this. btw i do have nosey roomates lol http://www.4hydroponics.com/grow_room/homeboxSmall.asp

hmmm, id say build a DWC look in the FAQs or do a search or sometnhing that should be less than 50$. Get some CFLs for sprouting and vegging for the first couple weeks, you can also use them along with your 150 for more lumens. I'd suggest a bigger hps but not necessary for your first grow, so yeah i'd get like 3 or more 42 watt cfls and build a dwc(deep water culture) hydroponic set up and get an electronic ppm/ph reader, ph up, ph down and hydroponic fertilizer hope that helps.

you can build a 3 bucket 2 plant DWC setup for about 100 bucks, you have ample room to do a nice scrog, which your 2 plants will fill easily. I would use the extra cash to get a serious light, 600's really are worth the buck, can get a digi one for 200, and mh conversion bulb. then youl still have some cash left to get the other odds and ends youll need.

the only reason why you would want cfl's is because if you get the 6500k cfl's they emit blue light wich is better for vegging than red light(hps) but the hps still does an okay job. now if you want to do hydro i agree with the DWC (deep water culture) or bubbleponics. same thing. here's wut you would need
1. 5 gallan bucket w/lid
1. an air pump (for aquariums)
1.a few air stones (for aquariums) the more the better
1.3 net pots
1. hosing for the pump and air stones
1. hydro nutes
1. hydro rocks (clay)
1. peat pellets i think there called or rockwool cubes
all baught from walmart except the hydro nutes and clay pepples

after you take your clones in your rockwool or peat pellets fill the net pots with the clay pebbles and place the clones in there.
drill 3 holes in the lid of the 5 gallon for the net pots to sit in
fill the bucket with water about an inch into the bottom of net pots
hook the air pump up to the air stones and put the stones in the bottom of the bucket
BAM DWC.

i know it was badly detailed you got ?'s just ask

is this DWC setup the same thing Mr. Green was using on Youtube? the videos How to grow cannabis Mr. Green...because i was thinking about making one like his. or is this DWC better?
and with the light. i thought about going higher in Watts but i was thinking about the bill. because i live with roomates who dont like me growing lol. but ive bin growing with the 150w for awile and they havent said ah thing, would you know how much it could jump if i got ah 400w?
and what is a digi?

Digital ballast, 400 watt will cost you about 20 bucks mo. to run

thats all i need? is it possible to buy the whole setup from a hydroponics store?

ya its possible at the right hydro store i dont have one where i live so idk but a setup from a hydro store will be more expensive than buying the shit seprately and building it yourself. and no mr. green from you tube uses a flood and drain system. they both work fine but a flood and drain needs a tray and a resavoir while a dwc is 2 in one. and a dwc has less moving parts the flood and drain wich usually means less maintnents

ic. and how much does the 150w run? does the bill run by how long you have the light on every hour? srry. im trying to find out how much im running the bill lol because i only pay 450 for the room, and i wanna know exactly how much im running.

yes thats a great list to get started, But I would go with a switchable ballast and go from MH to HPS for veg and flower. I go from T5's to a 600 hps for veg and flower and when they are under that hps they are just oh so happy. You can tell they are getting what they REALLY want.

My 600 put my bill from 30 or 40 a month to around 75. No worries.

well which one works better? lol.
you said the dwc is a 2 in one?
i was kinda looking for something that the water somewhat is seperated from the plants. because ive seen how the DWC works on google and it looks complicated. like when it comes time to change up the water dont i gotta take the lid off where the plant is connected and set it somewhere? sounds like ah pain lol. but with the flood and drain all i gotta do is open up that tub right and just leave the plants alone?
srry lol im just trying to get the easiest setup that seems really easy to get along with

use mh for veg and hps for flr.I would get a new reflector yield master ii and get new ballast value line 400w switchable for about $250 and get 1 mh bulb 400w and veg under that light and when time to flr get 400w hps and run both lights.good luck bro!

thats very true about changing the water in each system but if you drill a hole at the bottom of the 5 gallon and by a 3 dollar valve from menards you can drain it that way but either way there both very good systems

and another question bout the DWC. wouldnt the roots die because its always in the water?
Yes they will die, but thats the purpose of the airstone. Without the air pump and stone you have problems, And with DWC the more air you can get in the water the better.

I would do some looking on ebay. You can get a lot nicer hood and ballast for the same money.
