1. I have no clue lol, never looked into anything besides DWC and soil for growing methods

3. Best rule of thumb for lighting is to put the back of your hand above the tallest part of the plant for a minute or so if your hand gets hot the light is to close. Also remember that your plants can grow several inches in a day

I have heard always 12 inches but no further than 16

thank you that helped or the topping but for this other chart if im reading it correctly with 400w at 50000 lumens i should be about 7 in away?

The chart is to just give you and idea, i wouldn't go lower then 12 inches, i sure maybe some one had it that close at 7 inches, but it depends on your ventilation

I would just veg with the CFL's for like 2 weeks then finish with the MH

i hate them i feel like they dont do enough, prob because i dont have enough of em lol remember my ballast went to shit on me last time. im excited to use it

well i was just suggesting that so you dont fry or stretch your plant's, i mean you should veg for a long time anyways, or at least i would with 400 watts, you will be useing the MH for most of the Veg time anyways, 2 weeks isnt too long but again just a suggestion

i dont realy plan on veggin too long. i wanna top at the 3rd node like i saw in one of ur grows. but how long do i have to veg after topping to make the topping worth it?

okay so i drew up an sog for my settup and i was wondering if you guys think my 1- 400w hps would be enough in the flowering chamber. and also, if its possible to do those 4 steps in one room like that. i was first thinking of doing it with an ebb&flow system but then realized i would need 4 diff rez for the flowering stages. so would this layout work for a harvest every 2 weeks?

i think it looks pretty good man. im doing the same thing only with more plants (4-6 per 2 wk cycle) just started gearing up for that tonite!

for the blue widdow im not sure, but for the system we were talkin about i would be doing clone straight to flower

well i sure hope 8 can fit than! im about to do a field of green grow under a 400, i was planning to do any where from 20-30 single clones vegd fer a week then flowered. i think ur gunna b fine with eight dood, u should acualy think about veging fer a week er 2 b4 u flower, it will really help the yeild u get, u got the light to do it.

ok so she was a 1/4 in. above the AG grow pod so i slipped her down to help get the stem stronger. idk if it helps at all but i feel like it does.
