man stfu about this guys nutes not being organic... fuck..... from what i see he's pretty damn organic. If there is a trace of synthetics you dont have to be a technical dickhead about it.

anyways

nice grow.. i been looking into LED's here lately, i kno that the technology has improved since they first emerged... and am really interested in them.... question.. do you use them through flowering? if not, then what do u use?

Easy there captian sensitive. He was very polite (and correct) about the information he gave and the recipient was gracious about it. There are 2 levels of organic. There is certified and compliant.

Even certified organic is not 100% organic. The coco you buy would be organic compliant because whats left is organic (for the most part) but the chemicals they use to process it are not.

Never attack someone who gives good information in a respectful manner. Its not polite.

whatever dude.... your only restating what I said in the first place about trace synthetics in "organic" products... i didn attack anyone and his information was not 'good' he was just trying to bust the OP bubble. i know plentyyyyy about 'organic' nutes and how they are not truely organic. recently there has been multiple companies under pressure for selling 'organic' vegetables when in reality they weren't technically organic, however they were using 'organic' nutes... true organics were when the indians taught the pilgrims to bury fish in the ground before the growing season... 'organic' nutrients for the most part are processed and well thats not very organic is it?

as im gonna say again... this guys operation is pretty damn organic, and very interesting. the coco/ led combo is new territory for me and i would like to learn....

have a nice day:bigjoint:

On friday, I went out and purchased some additional lights for my grow.

As the plants were growing taller, and with me wanting to keep the light

as close as possible to them, the area of coverage began to get reduced

too much. In order to combat this (as well as add a boost) I added

2 23w 2700k CFL's and 2 13w 6500k CFL's. The canopy is much wider

now with all 6 plants growing great. Lots of short internodes, especially

on FCJ and Chiesel!! Some of the shots are kinda blurry but thats the

clearest I could get. My apologies in advance.

#1/#2 - Group shot

#3 - Big Bang (1 week ahead of the rest but on same schedual)

#4-#6 - FCJ (tons of branching!)

#7/#8 - Hawaiian Snow (80/20 or 90/10 sativa/indica...going to be delicious )

#9/#10 - TW

#11/#12 - Chiesel (even more branching!)

#13-#15 - NL5 Haze Mist (my best looking plant...gonna definitely be a keeper :bigjoint:)

I'm going to be taking some clones today because I want to start flowering soon.

Give them a week to recover and switch em to 12/12. Or should I clone and switch

now? These girls just finished week 6 from seed. Opinions? Going to top them as well...

Enjoy! bongsmilie

ive got room for at least 1 more CFL on each side for the time being. Moving this week so just goin to wait it out till thats finished. any opinions on LST/FIM or simply just cut that top right off? ;)

I did some work tonite. I took two clones from each and FIM'ed my 4 biggest. I left FCJ and Chiesel alone because they are already pretty short (3-5 inches shorter than the rest). Im going to give those clones about 3 weeks and then I'll clone them and put them into the flowering chamber. I'm aiming for a 2-3 week cycle. Let perpetuation begin!

Sounds like a plan... I'll pull up a chair to see it go down.:hump:

not hating on the led as i just sold my ufo quad band 90w ,it vegged good ,but buds werent impressive,400 watt hid blows it away, iknow from experience, however your light models link states that it only produces 5000 lumens? wtf? i have 65 w cfl that give you 4000 lumens.i never could get the lumens stats for my ufo,but your led at 5000 lumens mite only work for 1 or 2 plants.

flower is 2 1000w, veg is the prob - couple 4' old school t12 tubes. next purchase is a new veg light. was thinking t5, but im leaning towards the leds. anywhere i can cut power costs helps, too...

#1 - It does produce nearly 5000 lumens (as stated on their website). im not doing a side-by-side grow here...just going with led/coco combo.

#2 - It's not a comparison. The reasons for choosing led vs HPS are due to me not owning/renting a place of my own and venting issues.

#3 - I know the a HPS can produce better buds, but it always depends on the grower. I've seen some pretty damm interesting results from some fellow RIU members on here using LEDs and/or CFL's. You guys rock.

#4 - The initial startup cost of the LED's was ok for me to absorb cuz i needed no heat issues and very low power bills...among other things.

#5 - When I'm renting/owning...I'll take a harder look at HPS and whether or not I can make it work. LED's may not give you what your looking for...but this works for me for the time being.

#6 - I have added some CFL's to boost the lumen output (i'm rocking 10k in there LED/CFL total) and provide some additional spectrum coverage to help get those ladies as fat as possible. I'd also like to add some more.
If I can get .5-.75g/W from those plants, for a second time grower...I'd be pretty stoked. The route I'm taking I think will provide a better overall growing environment given my
circumstances. The buds produced may not be as large but they will still be very dense and coated with resin. Makes me happy.

This is a work-in-progress.

I'm no pro.

This train is just getting out of the station.

Sorry for ruining your day. Thanks for your $0.02 though.

LED's make some people so unhappy.

Where's my bong? bongsmilie
