Ya, they're exploding right now! I saw some brown spots on the leaves of one plant the other day. I tore off those 2 leaves. Today, there are a few more spots on other leaves of the same plant. It's hard to see looking down on the leaf, but if you look up from underneath with backlight, they stand out. It's only on the bigger fan leaves.

I will pull another leaf off and try to take a picture.

During my feeding tonight, I noticed more brown spots and took a bunch of pictures. I've posted details below and would appreciate any help.


Some information that might help determine what the issue is: I'm watering about twice a week when it feels dry/light. Every other watering, I mix in my nutes according to the FoxFarm schedule. So, since I'm in week 4 of flowering (or week 8 altogether), I added the following to 4 gallons of ph 6.5 water:

8 tsp Grow Big
8 tsp Tiger Bloom
4 Tbl Big Bloom
2 tsp Beastie Bloomz
8 tsp CalMag Plus (note - prior to this feeding, I had only been doing 1 tsp/gal but since some folks think it might be a MG deficiency, I stepped up to the accelerated dosage this time).

This is what it looks like looking at the top of a leaf. It's impacting one plant more than the others and seems to be concentrated on the upper fan leaves:


And here's some shots looking through the bottom of the leaf:







This is just a shot of one of the main colas... overall, things still look pretty good.

I can't say for sure, but just a thought - seems the spotting is kind of following the veining in the leaves, just as a mag. deficiency yellows the veins - too much magnesium maybe?

I'm sure you know already, remember - damage done from pretty much anything, doesn't go away. About all you can do is make an educated guess and wait it out, see if further damage occurs.

Ya, thx. I pulled off a couple of the worst leaves and took a mental picture of the remaining. Will give it a couple days and see what happens.

So after looking around a few places, I'm leaning more towards it being a fungus. My nutrient regimen is pretty solid (every other watering), I use CalMagPlus, the water/mixture is always the proper ph... and pictures of what other people say is rust fungus looks just like what I have. I checked it again tonight and had to pull off more leaves. The buds seem to be doing alright at least. I imagine it's only a matter of time before it moves to the other plants. Need to see what I can use at this stage of flowering.

Rust fungus, eh? Haven't seen that before, now you've got me on a google mission! Sounds nasty though.

Whatever is affecting the leaves on Plant 1 is continuing to eat away. I had pulled most of the dead leaves off yesterday and today there were several more. It's to a point now where I have basically no fan leaves left on the main cola of Plant #1.

I went out and picked up some Green Light Neem Concentrate tonight @ Lowes. My plan is to spray plant 1 tomorrow before lights-out and if no harm comes to the plant, I'll spray the other two for good measure in the following days. Really hope this does the trick.

Thanks DE! They're getting mighty frosty. Smell great too. Good thing I have another group vegging that should be ready to flower in a week or two. I don't think I could leave these alone till harvest time otherwise.

lol...I hear ya, being patient is hard as hell sometimes - especially once they start glistening at you.

Yea I been dealing with mildew, it sucks. That Neem stinks huh. I used it for spidermites.
On another note, I think you should bend the two tallest plants over, kinda cross them.
If the stalks are real stiff you can do it a little at a time. Then you could lower you light
a few inches and get more lumens to the lower buds.​
