damn uploads are funny... managed to get all these up, the rest are in attachment form. also... YES!! i want my party cup girls to look that way the "totem pole" is lemon skunk and i want her nodes to grow out for clones. if she dies "oh well" its a bitch flowering her sativa genetics.

i'll say!!! it has a lot to do with genetics. that bagseed strain never had a chance.
people always say "swag seeds don't always suck!! they could be awesome genetics treated poorly!!"
well that doesn't mean they're always good either!!!
she just never put out the trichomes, even with good care (minding pH, TDS and temps)
then again, maybe hydro isn't my forte! this soil thing is for me.
i think they overly enjoyed the earthworm casting/compost tea they were fed.
i haven't had to do much to make these girls produce. i guess you were right, keep it simple!! (this is my soil version of 2-part nutrient and H2O2 if you get my drift)
anyhow, thanks for the support! get growing again! i wanna see something crazy!!

no no no... YOU use H2O2 2-part nutes and nothing else.I've taken a similar approach and kept feeding as simple as possible.
little bloom nute here and there, some compost tea, not much else.
NEVER H2O2 in my soil!

hell yes my friend!! the two dominant branches are NOTHING but buds, from base to tip. the two minor branches still have some gaps to fill in, shes got another 3 weeks before i consider chopping so no worries. i grabbed her colas today for the first time, it is TIGHT very dense. i gotta give it up to GreenHouse Seeds genetics!!
Lemon Skunk is FINALLY starting to pick up, she's probably got another 5 weeks or so before i start considering her chop date!
long story short, things are pretty good around here

Exactly, everyone always posts the same fdd pic, its great and all but a bigger pot is even better. Fdd also has YEARS of experience growing outdoors for those of you that do not believe in root binding . . .

YES its NOT cannabis.
YES it IS root bound.
if left in its pot, the roots would continue to tangle until it literally choked out the plant. to say cannabis CAN'T become root bound is an interesting argument. keep in mind it only grows out one season. we're not out to establish grape vines for wine making.
long story short, it's quite possible that cannabis (treated properly) simply doesn't stay in a pot long enough to become root bound.

There are different degrees of root-bound, marijuana does not often go to those extremes because like you said in is grown in a short season. I consider a container plant to be slightly root-bound when I have to water it every day or worse twice a day. I've got a bunch of "root-bound" pots in my veg room right now, they are a pain in the ass I have to water them twice a day and they are leggy. I also have to feed them more often because they have a tendancy to yellow much faster.
So in my experience it has always been better to go with a bigger pot although small containers are often necessary in crampped indoor spaces . . . . it's a trade off

you know... you go out of town for ONE night and come home the next day around 6 only to find one of your girls on the brink of death and the other with her tops damaged :/
