can i mix perlite and peat moss for cloning?

would it be a good or bad idea? should i use either or? i got fiber cells for seed starting i was wondering what i should fill with for my clones.perlite, peat moss, or both, or mix both with soil, ????? im lost here and dont want to ruin a good thing? any info or suggestions would be of great help its my first time and i want good results thanks.

For clones I would mix the 2. Perlite by itself won't hold enough moisture for rooting clones. Peat moss on the other hand will hold too much water. I would go with a 50/50 mix for cloning. I'm a big fan of rapid rooters for cloning.
