Flowering tricks?

I have always been told about adding molasses to your plants to make them more resinous, but does that really work?

I always just used good nutrients, but never quite got the resiny glisten I am looking for.

Anyone got any little tricks to make their buds bigger and/or better?

The molasses is to add carbohydrates for the plant to absorb, so it's basically just another nutrient, just a cheap one. Most of these tricks are just silly little superstitions. We are programmed to learn and recognize patterns, even when there are none. So, some guy who does something silly goes and tells his friends. Confirmation bias insures that his friends will confirm his suspicion if they try it, and hot damn we've got a new superstition.

I use Purple Maxx snowstorm....it increases resin production and sometimes turns plants purple....I have tested on the same strain and seen the difference since then haven't stopped using it...but it's not really a trick

molasses contains many of the nutes you would buy like at lowes or HD...youd be surprised how many nutes molasses contains that other regular commercial nutes have..

Molasses does have benefits, it feeds the beneficial critetrs in your soil, and does leave a faint, sweet aftertaste to your finished bud. As for more trichs/resin - try lowering temps and humidity, both of these will cause the plant to increase production to try and protect itself.

You can't put too much in and hurt the plants, it will just stop dissolving. Too much can cause all kinds of secondary problems though, as you're basically making a rich soup that all kinds of critters will love.

LOL. No need for too much, as bluefish suggested secondary problems like mold and fruit flys. Keep it simple and smoke a joint. :0)

so, it seems everyone agrees on molasses to help bud your plants. Now, does anyone have info on when I should add it? I mean, how long into the flower stage (im growing outdoors btw) before I add the molasses?
