MY FIRST GROW - Jan - sep

No problem with your plants they look fairly healthy. The number one mistake new growers make is too MUCH love, i.e. over watering, over nuteing, ext. Remember they ARE weeds after all and they are a hardy plant to boot. Let em be, let em dry, water, repeat. Try those aqua globes when they get about 3-4 nodes on em, it really takes the human error factor out of it. Check out my journal too and you can see my mothers there. They were over loved at first too just like yours, so you're babies will be fine.:peace:

sorry to multi post, I forgot to tell you. How close are your lights? the plants look a little stretched. Your using CFL's try to keep those lights about 2-4 inches away from the babies. Use your hand under the light on top of the plants, you should be able to hold your hand there for long time with out burning.:peace:

heh its a beautiful day outside, so today they are getting mama sun! yay!
the lights are CLOSE, an inch away, but its a bit cold around here so the warmth doesnt hurt and i can hold my hand there for as long as i want.

i was just worried cuz they are slowish, i dunno we will see. but thanks a lot for calming me down.

here they are in the sunny sun

Well I don't usually go by C, but isn't that 20 C is about 70 F. And 13 C is about 55 F. You should have your temp about 70 F-80 F, mid 70's is prefect. Which would be about 24 C.

Hello dear family and friends,

first of all i want to thank my hot as a flaming bong girl of mine for being so supportive and for being the 2000W HPS light in my life!

after the exam today i went to a kind of home depot here and got all kinds of junk, one of them was an AWESOME SPIRAL 45 W CFL yeah man, MASSIVE LIGHTING! (6500K of course)

and some other things.

so with the help of the BOX my girl sent me all the way from across the world  full with Xmas presents, i sat down with lots of duct tape and humor and i came up with the UGB:AIO : Ultimate Grow Box : All In One!

basicly its two twist n stay sticks and some home made light cord and thingy!

put it all together, with some tacky tin foil and here you go, a grow box fit for kings, i left a space for one more light, so it could hold up to 4 fully grown plants, all i need is a timer and its a hands-free grow box (except for watering and ph)

i am gonna use this box as my vegging area for cutlings and smal plants, the actual grow i will do outdoors like i discussed before!

PLANS AHEAD:
2 Boxes, VEG and FLOWER, with a mother outside, GROW ALL YEAR ROUND.

UGB:AIO FTW :weed::weed::weed::weed::weed:

hey quick question:
is 150 watt total enough for a plant (CFL) ?

or at least for vegitation...

this grow box got me thinking, i could make a LOAD of clones and veg them indoors till ready to pass them outdoors, and them have them flower normally outdoors, so something around 30 or so clones from the 4 mothers in 6 batches or somthing, does that sound enough reasonable for 150 watt cfl (true watts not the equivilant shit)

ALSO:

i want to flower one plant like so, put it under light for 12 hours, combination of sunlight and CFL and then to put it in a dark box for 12 hours, is that ok?

THANK YOU!!!

I think each plant needs around 400w. (veg&flower) But mine are on much less and doing fine, so just let the plants tell you. About those droopy leaves, I'd say there fine. Its all about doin what you can with what you have. About flowering, 12 on 12 off. I assume the combo of natural and cfl wont hurt the plant, make sure the box is light proof. This is very important that NO light gets to those plants while they are in their dark cycle. No more light than a dim moon for as short a time as possible. (what I read somewhere) I personally do not allow ANY light to them and I don not disturb them during their "sleep"

Hey all,
my babies look good, today it is not as sunny, so they stay under the CFL in the UGB:AIO, they are not suffering but i notice how the sun gives them much more strength.

as soon as i am done with my exams, i am gonna build another MEAN UGB:AIO, thinking about using a 3X3X3 box (feet)
but i have a question, how do you install fans and still keep the box light proof, i dont understand how (exsaht fans for example)

I use my jig saw, then sand it to a even/lightproof fit, but there are other ways depending on what ur cutting a whole in..

I just went to water my plants, and there was some sparkling thing on one of the leavs of the plants, i brushed it away with some wet painting brush.

also i noticed two VERY small sprouts of unknown thing so i pulled them out, i guess they are from the previous plant that was in the soil i used!

well i wont have to worry about that for long, in 3 days they are moving to new homes, with a GOOOD soil, will give them a good watering and some nutes maybe and as i have seen before they will shoot up! yay

thanks everybody and sorry for the double post!

i will need to go to the store and get 4 more they arnt expensive, 5 bucks a peice, for 35W though, and after the exam on wednesday i will build my brow box and transplant the babies.

well thats the update, they are now under a 35W and a 20W 6500K light, need a lot more. as soon as exams are through!

peace and love to you all! :peace:

hey dude, everything is looking good. i would suggest taping around those cups to get rid of light getting to your roots...roots dun like light. If ur transplanting shouldnt matter, just thought id throw that out there.....GL:bigjoint:

1: translplant when you feel roots have out grown there pots, for you id say 3-4 weeks after sprout (remember to translplant when soil is dry!)...
2: take clones the same time you top..
3:I like to top about a week after i put my girls into flower.
4:LST about a week after topping to allow new node growth

this is how I like to do it, remember there are other ways to do things, this works perfect for me and dosent seem to stress the plants at all, good luck :joint:
