Pretty nice huh? Me and my buddy just built it today. Just gotta get some OSB to put on the sides, some insulation for inbetween and more OSB for the inside. Some white paint. Then i just need my 450 cfm fan for 80 bucks and im pretty much set. Im gonna exhaust the light and the air in to the closet (wall directly behind it) Put some small PC Fans as intakes on the front and ill be set.

I got a nice little 32 gallon tote for clones and small plants im gonna hook my CFLs too.

Im so excited :bigjoint:

7ish ft tall, 5 ft wide, 2 ft deep.

400 hps, 6 plants.

Yeah my friend does construction so :) and he owes me 600 bucks. So this takes a little off his tab. Then hes gonna help me paint my car hood, install a stereo ect... :weed:

Im hoping to get about 1 lb out of 6 of em


He has 2 1000 watters and a hydroponic system if i wanted to use that so that may be coming later on, thats a lot of money plus ill need AC hahaha so thats a no go for now

looks kinda small on the botton, the length to me seems small maybe it just the pic. but the closest looks nice i would build one as well but i dont have to tools or the skillz

That would be over 1 gram per watt, very hard to achieve
I would lower your expectations a little because hitting a pound seems a little unlikely
Cab looks nice so far though, good luck

Dimensions are the same top and bottom

I have some bag seed (lime is what the guy calls it, its bright green.) in a wet paper towel atm, when it sprouts im putting them in my peat cups So that will be the first thing i grow. My buddy has no idea where his ak 47/orange kush seeds are so if it turns out well like 300 grams or more ill probably get some seeds online. I need perlite though

You should post some pics of it whenever its finished. And instead of the white paint, invest in some mylar. You will be greatful.

ok so you guys seem to know what you are talking about.
and as my name says i am a newbie. I need a little advice. i am getting ready to start my first grow.
i got a
4x4x7 sun hut
400w/600w next gen electric ballast
400w mh for vegg 600w argosun hps for flower.
i will be growing 4-5 plants in a bubble ponics system i made with rubber maid and 5'' baskets.
i have a active air 6'' 400 cfm in line duct fan.
a hydrofarm variable speed fan control
havent picked a charcoal filter yet (prob go with a can 66)
does this sound good?
and how hard is it to hook up the fans and controllers?
i know less about electricity than i know about growing.

my questions:
with those lights and that space how many plants should i grow? and how much yield should i expect (remember im a rookie)
i have not decided what i will grow yet.
i got 2 bag seeds sprouting in the germination tray. these will be the first plants in. they will be my experiments
i got Northern lights (my friend says its the best)
blue mystic (becuase it supposedly has a neutral smell even while flowering, i live in a small one bedroom so odor is a huge concern
kaya gold because it is supposed to be newbie proof. supposedly very rugged plant and very forgiveing of rookie mistakes.
Do you guys think that odor will be a problem or should i be ok with this setup?
also worried about noise. will i be good to go? will i be anoyed with the fans or will my neighbors call the cops the second i plug this biotch in. (lets hope not, i cant run very fast)
what do you guys think?
sorry about no pics the sun hut and a few other parts wont be here for a few more days.

you should have no oder with a can 66 filter. Do you live in half a double?

If so then noise will be a problem, if its your own house then no i doubt it. That is why i had to make that cabinet my old one was to close to the other side of my half of a double.

Fans are usually 45-50 db i hope the high CFM centrifugals arent more than that.

Im looking in to sound proofing options also.

Hey as long as it's does the job then that weed is good weed. If you're really desparate then ask around for seeds. If anyone asks, tell em you're guerilla growing next summer and need good quality seeds for such an effort,
In the meanwhile... you can grow-baby-grow :weed:

let me know what you figure out
i thought of wraping the fan in something
But not sure if it will cause the fan to get too hot.
i am considering puting a bow fan in as the roof of a grow box. i will put a charcoal screen on the bottom.
air blows up into the "top chamber" and then another home made little ass filter venting the air again out of the box.
i will build a prototype this weekend and see if it works. Ill just build a box the size of 2 or 3 box fans

if it works out ill get some photos up
if anyone seees an obviouse flaw(if you can even picture what im saying) then give me a shout

I think that's a great grow space for a 400, six plants sounds about right too.
