Can someone clear this up for me...

I was talking to a friend of mine about nutes. my question to him was if i have a 10g res and i have 5 different nutes im using,ex a, b, c, d, and e. each nute says 2tbs per gallon. so i add 20tbs total. he was telling me that i add 2tbs x 10(for the 10g) adn do that for all 5 nutes. that means i would end up w 100tbs of nutes per 10g. who is right? i believe i am

ok first off are you sure its tbs and not tsb. its a differnece of 10ml a gallon to 30ml a gallon per nute. that would mean around 1500ml per 10g i dont think thats right. i use about 2700 ml of nutes in a 60gallon res

the "amount" was just an example, the question is if i have 5 nutes and 10gal res do i put in 1 serving of each nute 2x or do i put in 1 serving of nute for each gallon i have? hope that makes more sense

OK...If you were to use say just one nute, you would add 2 tbs per gal x 10 gal right? 20 tbs. so you need to do that with all your nutes. However...like the previous poster said....check whether its teaspoon (tsp) or tablespoon ( tbs)

It's just a hypothetical question, b/c a friend and i disagree on the amount of nutes used and if he's right i'm way undernuting my plants. so your saying i need 2tbs/g x10g= 20tbs/10g but if i have another nute it a total of 40tbs/g and if i have 5 nutes its a 100tbs/g?

2 tbs= 1 gal x 10 = 20 tbs per 10 gal.
20 tbs per 10 gallons = 200 x 5 nutes =
100 tbs for 10 gallons

If its 2 tbs of each nute (5) per gallon. Then multiply your gallons(10) by 2, then by 5(nutes) to get the amount you use. If have 10 gallons, then 2x10=20. Multiply by 5 and you have 100 TBS.

ok, so i am using Liquid Karma 2.5tsp/g, sweet 2tsp/g Cal/mag 2tsp/g and pureblend pro Grow 3tbs. so your saying for 10g i need
LK 2.5tsp x10= 25tsp
Sweet 2tsp x10= 20 tsp
c/m 2tsp x10=20tsp
PB 3tbs x10= 30tbs
is that right?

If the nutes calls for 5 ML (example measurement) per gallon of water, and you have 5 nutes in the line up (such as General Organics) you are going to add a total of 25 ML of nutes to that one gallon of water. If you have 2 gallons, its now 50 ML total..so on and so forth.

So if you have 5 nutes that call for 2 TableSpoons per bottle of fluid to each gallon, and you have 10 gallons of water. You are adding 100 TableSpoons of nutes to that 10 gallons of res water.

Your buddy is indeed correct.

If you are mixing 5 nutes, you only want to use about 20% of each (per directions) to equal 100% concentration. If you mix them all full strength, you will end up with a 500% concentration!

Yeah that guy is just an online dick don't worry about him. I wondered the exact same thing because I wanted to use a couple different solutions but I believe T.H.Cammo is right unless one of the nutes has things in it then none of the others have. If Nute 4 is made entirely of something thats in none of the other nutes then that could also be used to full strenght... UNLESS all 5 were made to go together then you feed as said on the directions..
