Bracing for the big storm?

well i just got done getting a few groceries and i dont have to work for 2 days. work tried to make me stay over but i said no thanks because i would have got stuck there for 2 days. wal-mart was a mad house last night and its like wild animals fighting for their lives lol. same way with the grocery store. i got a small bag of weed, some wood pellets for the stove, munchies and food. gonna bunk down with the family and see how much snow were gonna get. who else is facing the winter storm on the east coast? snow is just starting to cover the street outside. im 2 hours from b-more & DC.

Were going around with the plow we got some supermarkets and gas stations to do.

Its supposed to hit pretty hard in philly again but I still haven't seen anything come down yet.We got some on tuesday night just like an inch or 2 and its already melted.

yeah a lot of my neighbors got plows on their trucks. when it gets bad people are out plowing all night. when is it supposed to hit you guys? im about 4-5 hours south of philly and we are supposed to get 3-4 inches today and like a foot tonight. we got a little on tuesday but not much. i got the old 2 wheel drive gmc and was whippin it sideways everywhere lol. if it gets too bad that bastard is like a sled. how much loot you make plowing places out?

I bought an old Blazer from the North East. It had a plow attachement and what looked like a plug for the cooling system to stay warm. Living in San Diego I just can't even imagine. When it rains here for a week and it keeps me in the house, I kind of enjoy the time. But a snow storm or blizzard??? I don't know about that one.

We are supposed to get about a foot in Pittsburgh tonight. A little snow isn't gonna kill my weekend party plans. Too bad I got chem and statistics tests on Monday or I would definately hit the slopes this weekend. I love the North East.

thanks dude i'll try.. san diego would be sweet right now. it is kind of nice if you dont have anywhere to be. nice fire and just relaxing but after a while of being stuck inside you get restless or cabin fever. i am looking forward to moving somewhere a little warmer soon. its usually mild here in the winter, like 30 degrees on average and 2 or 3 mild snow storms a winter. this winter has been like 15-20 degrees for weeks and we have had a few big snows already. i dont know how the boys up north in canada can face like-30 and tons of snow all the time.

best time to party is when the snow hits. makes it nice and festive. everyone here is talkin about all the snow and its all thats on the local news....winter storm warnings and state emergencys all over. damn they are really bracing for this one lol. i have never been skiing(but i have hit the powder) but my wife says its the shit..i am pretty close to da burg too.

A foot? Lol we got 94 fucking inches last year. A town 50 miles away had to call in the national guard to shovel calapsing roofs etc...so fuck your "storm" lol. Not trying to take away anything from this discussion sorry. You got me beat on snowfall this year...we went from 94 inches to less then 3 all winter. Hasnt snowed since like december. And it only snowed an inch that melted in like 2 days.

i know a foot is nothing right. we are supposed to get anywhere from 12-21 inches tonight, which is not too bad really. thats why i cant understand what the big fuss is about. in december we got like 2 feet in 1 day and there wasnt this much fuss about it. damn that is crazy, yall got a whole shitload of snow last year and barely none this year? and i dont know why everyone is closing down today, everyone has big ass 4x4's and drives through pretty much anything. in 96 we got like 5 feet of snow at once and was crazy. we had to dig a trench for our dog to go to the bathroom and we almost lost him in the snow lmao. the worst thing was it was close to spring and when it thawed it flooded everything.

The guy who is like the boss and owns the plows and equipment said he's hoping each of us will get 150-200 a piece.Im cool with that lol,I like shoveling snow if I could make a career out of it around here I would jump on it in a heartbeat.

i know what you mean bout last months cuz we got hit hard too. this one is starting amaze me though. we got like maybe 8 inches and the hardest is gonna start at 12 tonight. its flat out coming down and the worst is yet to come. you guys are gonna have your hands full with the plows and shovels lol. i wouldnt mind making some extra paper doing that shit. i have already shoveled my deck and steps like 5 times and 2 hours later i can barely open my screen door. i like shoveling snow too, its like a workout if you do enough.

yea we went out around 3 last night and made 75.Cleared out acme,walmarts and a few gas station made 75.
It all came back down and its still going strong well end up going out again later.I can see this being about 3-4 ft.
The wind has made a 5 ft dunes in my back yard and all over the street lol its crazy.
