Ok here is what I have so far

2 12x4' tables with lip for drainage.

96 3 gallon squats

Cocoa peralite mix (25 bags to fill all 96 buckets)

6 1000 watt HPS

+ all the intake / exhaust equip needed for the room

Here is my question. I have 16 3-gallon buckets per 4x4 area under each light. 1 per sq ft. What method should I use to grow these plants. Currently I am planning to do a 4 day veg and then 12/12 for the duration of the cycle. Should I strip the bottom of the plants? It seems like at 1 sq ft per plant that they are too spaced to strip the side branches, but what do you guys think I should do for maximum yield?

Thanks!

Get your room up and running. WITHOUT the plants. You need to push 6 1000 watters without the plants in the room. This will let you know how your room is going to function. Put a thermometer in there and see what the temps are after 17 hours of light.
If you have adequate ventilation, it should run in the mid to low 90's. Have you even thought of what strain you are going to grow? You will get the best yeilds from clones. Do you have someone to supply you with clones? Or are you going to do it yourself?

ok I've got all the clones I need. Mostly lavender, g13 haze, and snow cap.

So I'm transplanting them into the 3 gallon pots tomorrow. Going to veg them for 4 days then flip them. Should I prune off all the bottom branches?

if you dont have the light penetration to reach them then yes. if you do then dont fuck with em

The room is running cool as can be @ 75 with the lights on. Whats the bottom temp I can go with when the lights are off? I might need a heater.

they are fine about 40degrees Fahrenheit, i think that is about 10-15degrees from 0 celcius. mine are hitting about 65 in an uninsulated concrete brick room while the temps outside are a cool 32degrees Fahrenheit.

i know for a fact that temps can be lower for some plants. i have gotten 3/4 of an inch of growth in my room today and it is about 46degrees in there now because i left the door open all day. granted they may do better if i put a heater in there, it isnt really needed. with the door shut to the room the flowering area gets about 70 because of hid lighting.

Bravo my friend, very nice setup you have there. im hoping to get that one day. i would trim some of the bottom branches about 1-2 weeks into flowering. ur pots are so close together ur ganna wanna do a sea of green type method. with just one big cola and maybe few branches if u have room. good luck man keep us posted on this, very impressive so far.

Thanks Billybob

I had so much fun with my 1st outdoor this summer that I did my best to set up a great situation for my 1st indoor.

Do you guys think I should hit them with both budXL and the TopMax bloom stim at the same time?

Also, I've heard good things from the local shop about Bud Blood. Advanced Nutrients Bud Blood - Advanced Nutrients
Anyone have an opinion about it? After dropping 7k setting up this room, I don't mind spending a final $129.00 if it will make a difference.

for that kind of spacing between plants you need more veg time. Or you can take monster clones which will skip that. I'm taking a look at your clones from the pix their pretty small that will probably yield you from 17-30 grams depending on all the other factors.

i would go 2 wks if that is soil, but about 4-6 days after you flip start pruning thats when you see the formation of the bud on top you can prune till u want like 3 branch 4 branch or just 1 single cola, i ussually do 2 branch then cola.
