Weird ASS plants! Pheno?..

Hey guys, so I have (had) A VERY weird plant! It is a white russian that I got as a clone. It has been in 12/12 for 50 days now, and there is absolutely NO bud... ONLY hairs! It's the weirdest thing I've ever seen!

So I went to my buddies who I got the clone from to kick it for a bit. He was showing me the mom of my clone, which has been in 12/12 for almost 9 weeks now. And she looks the exact same just about 10 times the size. And further along in budding, but there ARE NO BUDS!

Does ANYBODY know what the hell is going on here??? lol, ANY advice at ALL would be MUCH appreciated! I'm just assuming it's bad genetics... I mean, I don't know what else it could be. He's got another WR, started from seed, both at the exact same time, and that one had the biggest cola I have ever seen in real life... So I just don't know...

theres some bud on there 50 days is only like 7 weeks it just might take 10 or 11 weeks to bulk up and mature because there is bud on the plant its not just hairs ive had a plant before that only showed preflowers and wouldnt start budding no matter what i did but i think ur fine it is budding so just be patient with it hope that helps man

well wat r ur temps and RH?? looks a lil bit warm Or a lil excessive N in it. wat nutes is she on?? it just looks like a heavy sativa, and sum of the strains can go til 15 weeks flowering. so u might just be in fer the long run. great plant tho, looks real green witch leads me to belief u might b giving it a bit too much nitrogen? as i said before tho, wat r ur temps and RH could b that.

Ok, I'm actually talking about both plants. They have both done the same thing. (The LST is a clone off the larger plant) Trust me, maybe you can't tell from the pix, but there is seriously nothing smoke-able on this plant! The cylax (or whatever they are called) have done absolutely NO swelling what so ever! lol, I've been feeding it the exact same nutes as my other plant that is in flower right now (journal in sig). It's the MG Bloom Booster. That is what I've been feeding this plant almost since day 1. It is a 15-30-15 formula. The temps stay consistent at 80-82, and the humidity is at 20%.

See, the thing is, it's not just my plant. That large plant was growing 150 miles away from mine, and looks the exact, EXACT same! There is nothing of ANY value on the plants at all! Both plants have been chopped down because they are useless and the room was needed for better plants, I just want to know what the hell was going on here!...

It was not going to grow any buds, I looked at another WR that he has, like I said earlier. Both we're planted at the same time, from seed, one is the large plant in the pix (which is worthless) and the other is the dankest looking plant I have ever seen in real life..... Both seeds we're bought from a dispensary at the exact same time.....

Any other thoughts???

just give it time, its well on its way, also i would make extra sure that theres no light leaking into your grow area when the lights are off

Can't give it time, already chopped it dow. TRUST ME, it was NOT going to produce a THING! If you saw the mother plant you would understand. I guess I'm gonna have to get better pix or something, nothing was happening with this plant guys! lol, not trying to be a dick or anything, but please don't tell me to give it more time. Lol, I love weed, and if I thought that there was even a 5% chance this thing would swell up and produce I wouldn't have chopped it. Seriously, my buddy I got the clone off had to chop down the mother and throw her away cuz there was no bud. And it would have been a 3 OZ plant easily, he didn't want to cut it down, but it was worthless, so he did!.. lol

WTF is up with these plants?... I'm just curious at this point, cuz the plants are dead, I just wanna know!..
I'm just going to have to go with bad genetics I guess....

What kind of lights are you using....this problem is common with a flowering setup with a low lumen output. I experienced this same problem and upped the lumen out by double and had great results. Are you using CFL lights?

i think you might have hit the nail on the head with bad genetics...if time didnt help.... thats the only explanation since it doesnt look deprived of light or water or whatever.im thinking genetics or bad pheno type.sry for your loss.

if you got them from serious seeds then im curious to because they have top quality genetics. I have their ak 47 and its wonderful. but im with you man cause ive seen some poor grows including some of mines in the past and i still got bud and im talking bad ph, high temps, and only t5 cfls in my rookie days and i still got some bud.

Yea that's gotta be what it is. Because the mom looks the exact same! And she's under a 600w HPS, using prime soil and nutes...

Got a question for you tho... I've been hearing ALOT about this "pheno" type... What the hell is that BTW? lol, Are there "Bad" and "Good" Pheno types? WTF is a pheno type? lol, the guy that has the mother of this plant said it may just be a bad Pheno, which is where I got the idea. I still don't know what it means tho.

No actually got them from a dispensary here in the state.
And that's what I'm sayin, still there should be bud... but there's not...

Yea I'm using CFL's, but I know for sure that my flower room isn't the problem. I have another plant in there flowering right now doing fantastically! It's in my sig if you wanna see. But again, thanks for the help guys!


It's either bad genetics, or a bad "Pheno" type... Whatever the fuck that is... hahaha

i cannot stop laughing right now. ive never heard of someone throwing away their plant cuz its budding slow. those plants looked great! look at some journals and youll see you werent that far behind, they were stressed at some point and that slowed down the process. you can even see the trichs glistening in the light.

omg and your using cfls? holy crap you should have waited to chop till you got a response from riu!

I would suggest less light.. because the plants cycle is stuck on 12/12 the sun doesn't stay 12/12 it begins to have less day light. try 10/14 for about a week and see where that gets you.

It's not the phenos. White Russain is extremely consistent with its Phenos. And they're usually ready to cut down in 7-8 weeks. I'd say nute burn or low lights.

And judging by your question what is a "PHENOTYPE" i'm gonna go out on a limb
and guess you are not out of highschool, or never took a biology class...

PHENOtype is the expression of the plant we see physically, the PHENOtype
is determined by the plants' GENOtype, meaning genes, so lets say 2 random
strains bred and produced hybrid seeds, these seeds would not grown uniformly, they
would produce different looking plants, some with more traits from the mom, some
with more traits from the dad, each different plant is a different PHENOtype. It's a
scientific term. Obviously some would perform better in areas we would like and
some wouldn't the ones that do not perform well are considered bad phenotypes..

That plant was fine. It was budding. There is no such thing as hairs without bud. What you had was a lovely sativa that was just getting started. Look at the trichs all over the guard leaves already. Very sad to have killed it. All it needed was more light and more time. Pure sativas can take up to 16 weeks to flower.

Grew some mazar that I dubbed the odouls of weed. Not a single bud on the bitch and leafy as hell. If that was a sativa dominant plant, it looked like crap, you made the right decision, move on and get more going.

I'm sorry, but your not to bright are you?.. That plant looked like SHIT! If that looks great to you, I'm sorry for whoever is smoking whatever your trying to grow!.. Do you even grow? Or know how to?.. How many times do I have to say this...

THE PLANTS MOTHER WAS 10 WEEKS INTO FLOWER WITH NO BUDS AND ONLY HAIRS! SAME AS MINE! This plant was 7 weeks and 2 days into flower... Nothing but hairs!..

Nope, not re-vegging. I've got another plant in there right now, the EXACT SAME room, budding. About to harvest. Looking pretty, pix in my sig.

Ok, well apparently both me and my buddie have fucked up the universe or something then! God damn why will nobody get it through their thick head that there we're NO BUDS!!! Hairs we're just growing out of plant matter, NOT BUDS!

My buddie who has the mother of this plant, has now grown out 2 plants all the way though flower, taller than I am, and thrown BOTH OF THEM IN THE TRASH! They're WORTHLESS! He said he's ending this strain cuz it's just taking up room in his grow space!

Heads up is on eof the few guys that has thrown out some intelegent, useful info..
