vapes make me cough so damn hard

Yeah thanks for checkin back. I was drawing too quickly so i thought my hits were bad so i figured id turn it up. this is what resulted in the cough but when i turn it to 10 and take 30 second hits drawing it real slow gets me way more baked and no cough. just was too hot

thats interesting...the too hot part. i have a homemade vape, with a glass jar and a heatgun, and i'd cough a lot with it too. i also found that vaping didnt get me as high as smoking...unless i was at it for a long long time, like over an hour steady. but i think that a lot of my vape problems are because its just a homemade one, not a real one.

nah sarah i feel you with that vapes dont get you as high. at least they dont seem like it but i think that has to do with the long drawn out hits instead of quick snaps

i was always wondering something...with bud, theres thc and theres other types of cannabinoids in there too...with vaping, do you get all the thc + the other cannabinoids, or just the thc? because that could also be why you dont get as high...just an idea.

i believe you get less CBD thats why its a more clear headed high it remains brown dont quote me on that tho. i believe sativa has higher thc to CBD ratios and indica has higher CBD to THC levels compared to sativa. shit these are my words how i remember it tho it sounds better from a book. i've been reading quite a lot lately. cannabis genetics, how it affects our brain and neurons and of course a bunch about growing including this awesome book Garden Knowm wrote.

Same thing w/me bro! I don't know the type of vaporizer my buddy has...but we puff quality herb with it, and i cough up a lung lol. I always aim for big hits, but I never expect to cough as much as i do. I think one of the previous posters nailed it- somethin about THC being a bronchiodilator, causing you to cough...cuz the tube on his vape is pretty long too...maybe 2 1/2- 3 feet.

also not sure what type of vape it is, but it's one of the traditional-looking wooden ones...and idk what temperature he heats it up to

sounds like the vape i have. vapor bros. yeah man i know what your saying because the hits are so smooth i always try and rip it really hard and i do usually and you think nothing is going on and all of a sudden it just hits ya and ya cough for minutes. you guys might have had it turned up too high too i believe that was my problem. when i turned it down to 10 and started taking slower draws i actually got even higher and no cough

so the bag vapes totally fix this by diffusing the end hit with the first hit, making it an even ratio, possibly even better than that of smoking.

after I started using a bag vape for over 2 weeks, smoking was shitty by comparison . . . .

my vapir broke so I'm sending it back in but ideally I'd have a volcano and would still be bag vaping every day . . . .

I think that given the same amount of weed vaping gets you much higher than smoking does. I think its a better high too. For me it is less of a couchmelt high and more of a mind obliterating energy buzz.
I got a vtower vape. Its great, i keep it at about 210C and it gives great vapor hits all the way till the bowl starts to taste like burnt popcorn.

what do you do with your vaped weed?

it wasn't brown really, it was kind of tan instead. not charred but when you take 12 fat rips off of a bag from a small nug I don't think anyone else would want to vape it to brown.

I've made cookies with the vaped stuff before (cook it in the butter first using a good method, of course.)

it worked alright, but I think you'd have to vape 3+ oz of weed for it to be worthwhile. I had to mix shake in with it for it to really work but it still didn't work as well as just straight good trim.

I"m sending it in today so I should be getting it fixed or replaced within a week or two .
