so i have 3 plants that have been flowering for almost 5 weeks now and they are doing great. the only thing is that theyre currently under 600w of flourescents and my roommate just set up a grow tent with a 1000w hps in it and he has room for the 3. right now the light cycle they are on is lights on from 7am to 7pm, but the 1000w light cycle is on from 8pm to 8 am, almost the exact opposite. i was wondering how much stress it would cause them to switch to the brighter light and if anything bad would happen. also i was wondering how i should make the switch, should i give them an extended dark period then move them, or just move them into the light after 1 hour of dark? any ideas?

To minimize shock, I would adjust the cycle in your grow room before you make the move. Give them an extra 2-4 hours of dark per day until you've reached the same cycle as your roommate's cycle. I've had to do it and there were no ill effects.
