Transplanting Q's??

(my roots are comin out from the bottom)
been reading & have a few q's

-root ball (run ur fingers through the bottom to loosen soil? Y or N[or just leave it]) uncle ben said something about superthrive aint nothin but superjive so dont buy it

-more soil on top of old surface? (cloning shows roots growing from stem) but i hear to KEEP the old surface as the new surface(so no thick new soil on top of old



Things I will do.
-water day b4
-tilt pot & transplant
-smoke a joint

Get a nice big 5-7gallon planter, and watch em GROW!

These plants love the root space

I would run my fingers through the root ball, Yes, no deeper than an inch I would think.

Dont add much soil to the top of the soil, add all underneath. Water once you finish your transplant

i was gonna water the new soil day ahead n water the plant a day ahead(so itll come off easier)


so dont water new soil a day ahead(water it after transplant?)

Stress free way to transplant is to submerge your small pot in water right before moving the plant to its new pot, this shuts her down (similar to when it rains in nature) and when it wakes up it has no idea it was moved

you will notice leaf drooping as a result of the submerging in water, this is normal, it will come out of, usually within hours

Are you still vegging? Type of plant can make a difference. Like i just transplanted my mum and actually trimmed 1/2- to 1 inch off all surfaces. I would not say that is standard at all for transplanting though. Normally you would just roughin up the surface like you said.
Another thing you dont want to do is transplant in flowering. I like to do it a couple weeks before i start flowering.
No idea on more soil on top. I add some during the grow if it looks like some has been washed away so cant see it hurting too much if you add just a little bit. The stalk would probably start making roots if under soil

I just transplanted my plants into bigger pots and the best thing I can say is... Don't drench the soil u'll be transplanting into, Rather; Lightly moisten it, Make a nice lil hole that ur root ball can fit into. Water your root ball and make sure it's packed down before you remove it from your starting container!! ::Or you can submerge it underwater:: put it in the hole you made ::I chose to not only fill around the root ball but also cover the top with the new soil... It gives me a secure feeling about it not falling over lol:: (Long story) Then I water right after transplanting and it seems to do the trick.

-THATS the exact reason y i want to add soil on top(most recommend not to) i want my mother plant to have some roots near the surface rather than a root ball on the bottom

im sure everything isnt as hard as some might put it i just want other ppls views n experiences to take into account




Goin to buy my soils in 3-4hrs(ran out of perlite n some verm) ill use the advice given here thx alot for the help

im suppose to water(with nutes in 2 hours)[transplanting tomorrow]
-should i just water with no nutes?

-ive read roots stickin out from pots have less tolerance to low%nutes(already had nute burns dont want anymore)

Depends on if your soil you are going to be transplanting it into has nutes on whether or not to nute. I would use half strength nutes and plan on transplanting once the soil is dry enough to be solid, if your soil is too wet when you try to transplant it may not hold together(depending on how many roots there are)


No clue on the roots sticking out the bottom having to do with nute sensitivity.
