I want to become a licensed grower/vender

so then, if I'm understanding this right, we grow together as a collective but each sell our own and keep the money?
Depending on how it's structured, yes. It you are forming a corporation or LLC to do it then the company takes in the money, then compensates you for your time.

Is there any way to just be a licensed supplier without having to go the collective route or needing to be a "patient"?
No. Everyone needs to be a patient from dispensary owners to vendors if you're going to be in the same room as product you need to be a patient. You don't need to form your own collective to vend to clubs though, you join theirs when you first walk in.

Dan and Grower do know what they are talking about if one choose this route....but have any of the peps who want to move over just to grow realize or understand the negative side of all this???. California isn't for everyone, especially if you never been there...

How do you find the clubs?
I have an iphone app that tells me where the clubs are. I just put a pound in my backpack and walked into clubs randomly until it sold. Repeated that a few times until I found myself a handful of clubs I like to do business with.

It was very discouraging at first, my first trip doing that I walked into more than 20 clubs before I found one that would buy my stuff at a fair price. But the more you try, the better you get selling your stuff. Eventually you'll find the right clubs for you.

Once you do find a few clubs you like to deal with it's important to keep them happy. While everyone else was scrambling around trying to sell their stuff at rock bottom prices during the outdoor season I was always able to get rid of everything I had for decent money because of this.

After they've purchased your product always ask them if there is anything specific they need and how you can make your product better for their club (different clubs like different things).

BTW - Thanx for the all the info Dan, you've been a huge help
No problem. Vending isn't always as easy as people think. Takes a while to get the hang of it. Glad I can help.

So with a doctors recommendation i can sell my mj to the clubs?

I just ask this because i always have been thinking you had to obtain more than just a doc rec to sell to clubs/other prop 215 patients?

can someone clear this up for me?

and say me and another person reside at the same house (both prop 215 legal) can we grow twice as much as one person? and what if you're married or related? would this make a difference?

My other question is once i harvest can i just simply pack it up and shop it around to the clubs? or do i have to do other types of certification to remain legal? and can i sell to others who have prop 215 cards/recommendations?

any and all info would be GREATLY appreciated.

oh. ps. what are the rules if say im in a county allowing 6 matures/12 immature plants n 8 oz of dried bud but i end up harvesting more than 8 oz dried at a time? how long do i have to get rid of it? can i sell that to the clubs? or what?

To sell to clubs all you need is a doctors rec. Nothing more.

Doesn't matter if you're related or married. If you've got two people in the same house both with doctors recs you can grow 99 plants per person anywhere in Cali as long as your doctor will back you up according to my lawyer.

My other question is once i harvest can i just simply pack it up and shop it around to the clubs?
Yes. Sounds easier than it actually is, but that is exactly correct.

Although depending on the particular counties regulations you can still get busted during transportation.

or do i have to do other types of certification to remain legal?
No.

and can i sell to others who have prop 215 cards/recommendations?
Technically, yes. Although for your protection you should have your own collective to do this as well as call the doctor on their recommendation to verify their rec is legit. Cops can make fake rec's to bust you.

The recent California Supreme Court ruling (a case won by my lawyer  ) says that a doctors recommendation supersedes county laws and the state legal minimum. If your doctor says you can grow 99 plants, it doesn't matter what your local law says.

But if you harvest more than that amount then you're in violation of the law.

how long do i have to get rid of it? can i sell that to the clubs? or what?
You don't have any time to get rid of it. If you're over your limit then you're over your limit. Yes you can sell it to the clubs.

When I go over my limit I try to dry it out as fast as possible, and sell it as quickly as possible. Due to my current system (perpetual harvest every 3 weeks) I only cure my buds for a little more than a week and I have an understanding with the clubs I vend to that they should keep it all in the safe for a few weeks before bringing it out for sale.

thanks for the info.

my gf just got approved for her card (we just have to send in the payment) and im up for a rec next.

this will allow us at least 12 mature plants in any place in the state...were looking to set up permanent shop in a different area within our state that allows more...

i been a recreational smoker since i was 13/14...i recently learned about the medicinal benefits and ive been very interested in getting involved in the cultivation...seems like a nice way to beat the unemployment issues while remaining legal...seems like a dream come true.

thanks again for the help :)
