Indoor grower needs help for outdoors

As the title says, I'm an indoor grower now for 2 years, and have a chance to grow 5 Blue God clones that my buddy is going to save for me. I really love Blue God, it's such a kick ass smoke.
Well anyways, I'm going to be growing quite far from my house, 2-1/2 hours away to be exact, and plan to go back there once every 2 weeks, will that be good enough? Or is that 2 long inbetween? I guess it would depend on the weather really huh? 1 good part about it is that it's on my dad's land so maybe I can get him to take a peak at them every once in awhile.
I also plan on using this and mixed with perlite and some of the soil that I dig to make the hole. Still not sure weather to grow in the ground, in buckets or do what my buddy does, he says he just cuts the bags of medium in half, pokes holes in the bottem of the bags and throws in the clones. Which is the best way? I won't have to move them anytime, so that's no worry.
I really wanna do well with this outside grow, I need a new beater for work and I'm so behind on bills it's not funny I've had a real string of BAD LUCK, I'll spare you the details soI need to grow these well for some $$$$
Please anyone give me a helping hand and some good honest tips for this upcomming grow. MAD REP FOR GOOD INFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since it is on your Dad's land why not put them in the ground and add a few amendments . They will get huge then check when in your area when is a good time to plant tomatoes. Me I will be experimenting from now until May the 12th that is when it goes to 14 hour days here. Then the big pots will come out and the plants will go in the ground.

Right on man, what do you use for a medium for yours? What amendments?
I'm not really sure what the soil is like there so I'm gonna have to wait and see, but I would like to put them in the ground as well.

Go to the farmers almanac.com and they will tell you the photo preiod of each day for your location. As soon as there is more than 12 hours of light which is usually around the end of march put them out! The more veg time the better! I do one in Florida evrey year. If you can get fox farm ocean forest where you live that is my favorite! whatever soil you use mix with a 3rd perlite just like you would indoor. put chicken wire or something like it for big pests and just some spray mix for bugs. Ask your guy at your garden store what the best they have is for that.

I can't find any fox farms around here, but I can get sunshine # 4 whatever the hell that is, I got spray's Shults and neem oil, but what do you use for slugs?
I'd also like to go organic if possible, anyone got any good recipies for organics?

Im kinda new to the outdoor thing but this is what im thinking.


-digging 3x3 holes or so
- using organic soil
-2 part organic potting soil.
-1 part Perlite.
-1 part Vermuclite.
-1 part worm castings.
-2tsp of Guano(n-veg/P-bud)
-bone meal & blood meal
-some Dolomite lime to keep ph correct.
-making compost tea for fertz


Ive never used sunshine #4 but it looks like a decent choice. It already has dolomite for proper ph and contains perlite.

Right on man, thanks for the post. That sounds like a pretty well rounded mix there, but I don't understand how you can have 5 parts.......

Here is what I'm using this year.

Three Little Birds Method
40 gallons used soil
4 cups alfalfa meal
4 cups bone meal
4 cups kelp meal
4 cups powdered dolomite lime
30 pound bag of earthworm castings . . .
That&#8217;s the basic recipe . . .
However we also like to use
4 cups of Greensand
4 cups of Rock Phosphate
4 cups of diatomaceous earth

hope this helps the last ingredient will help with things on the ground.
