hey hey , just thought id show u guys a cheap as piss DWC , costed me nothing cos it was all at home.
1.airpump laying around from old fishtank
2.mop bucket
3.spounge
4.airstone
instead of the mop bucket tho u could just use any container that has a lid and just cut some holes in it and go buy some nets, but the mop bucket comes with a net.

Looks impressive SClosetG. Best you use that bucket for something cos they make shite mop buckets. Keep us posted on how that little baby goes.

So you'll have light pouring straight into your res, and will have to hand water to start with. Not that it won't work, just that it won't consistently work well.
You'd be better off taking the squeegy bit off, and filling it with dirt.

whers the light getting in ? there were a few cracks around the medium but i chucked a few clayballs in now. although i think 2morrow im going to just go by a tub and some nets and start over ... maybe

Hey SCG i wasnt criticising your setup. I know nothing about that kind of growing... actually most types of growing. I was just saying its not a good mop bucket.. lol. I actually love home made contraptions.
Anyway i have been thinking about that guys post from before. Surely there is more to it than he says. He mentions hanging around drug dealers but not using those drugs i think. That would be your first mistake. Spend enough time around them and the boys in blue will start sniffing around. I think the cops have better things to do than pick up someone with 6 plants unless you are upsetting them in some way..? Maybe no record, but maybe just nothing they caught you for yet and they were waiting for you to slip up and bam have a few months in the slammer.

I agree, that guy got caught because he did the silly thing and involved an outside situation he could not totally control... By that I mean having clayballs delivered to work... If you've been buying pot for a lot of years and you haven't had any entanglements with the law you should be pretty cool... Just keep your mouth shut, pay with cash, buy all your materials over the counter, don't show anyone your grow...Its pretty simple really.. He just got complacent and comfortable... Its still a punishable offence people... Still we could all learn a lot from his hard lesson....

Mate he/she is rockin!! I dont really know what to do with it. My GF mum is here in about a week and i think i will end up veggin it too long to flower under what i have. I think i will put it outside while she is here and see how it fairs. Anyway i just took a few photos as i always like seeing others so hope i can make someone happy. Also i now have a few watchmen when i am not there. I let the spider out by the way.

time to go out and buy a DWC ! can anyone tell me can i reuse the hydroton balls after every grow ? and also i have an airpump with the number 7500 on it "no idea what it means" am i better off using 2 airstones on the one pump or just 1? cos the air would still be comming out the same volume with just 1 stone yeah ?
Buy a DWC? You bean a plastic tub right? 
bunnings has the perfect tubs right now (unless you just want to do individual buckets) they are the sterilite ones, go for the 35L one. No idea what the 7500 means on your air pump, but sounds like it only has one outlet. I would personally split the line and run 2 stones, just to spread the bubbles out in the water more. Better still upgrade your air pump.
Hydroton can be re-used, just give it a good wash in h2o2 and water, and then I dry it in the sun.
