One more thing that I approve of regarding Obama is his influence on the future electoral viability of some current office holders.

Well, ever since the beginning of time, any "System" that has tried succeeding, certainly failed. If anyone ever really took part & payed attention in history, all generations have tried the government system with politicians & whatnot. But what exactly ever happened to those Government "Systems" if you haven't came up with the idea yet, well. They simply failed. Correct? Correct. So that leaves us (Duurr dur duuur) with the easiest conclusion of them all, leading us into the same failure system that we have been trying to build for several centuries.
Honestly, to me. My opinion, everything the government puts out there, is setup for failure. So why wouldn't you think that that's all they are trying to do to themselves??
Well, I believe that they are evil.
Evil never prevails. Meaning, if we are acting the way they wanted us to be during the schooling years K-12 & those people took that path instead of their own fate & meaning in life. They choosen the path of inconsiderate, self-centered, spoiled simple minded machines.

Then we would definitely see what we were doing wrong.
Everyone is just stuck in their own ways.
The machine we built, that we unfortunately keep feeding, is simply taking over everything we are bound of knowing & putting us in this virtual debt, which is meaningless numbers.. Greed plays a major role here, but we wouldn't have the greed if there wasn't currency. Why need currency when all the resources are provided from Earth?

on a far more serious note, we have an elected crew in washington, many of whom are interested soley in re-election to the detriment of the country.
a political blog on any forum would be well-served to concentrate on those assholes, instead of battling about ideology.

The governance of society in the 21st century is not a joke. Saying all politics is a joke is just another way of saying you find it easier to leave government to others. I respect people who are diametrically opposed to me politically more than those who think it's all a joke.

there's too many things considered 'classified', companies hide behind a veil of 'trade-secrets' to not really tell the truth about what they're selling, government meetings are held behind closed-doors all the time, transcripts of conversations are lost...
and the press in the US has turned into a joke. the press, once a force for keeping politicians, corporations, and the general public in line by spreading the truth behind what goes on in the nation have sold themselves out.
so as we can sit here and argue about an issue, each one on the right has some information, the left has other information, and no one can confirm which is the truth...
in this confusion politicians stay in washington for decades doing what they do best, blaming somebody else.
the only thing left is political ideology 'debate', most of which is supported with arguments taken from news sources with questionable credibility, which in turns makes for a flimsy argument which quickly breaks down into name-calling....

agreed - i think it was campbell brown who proclaimed last night that congress is more radically divided then the electorate. according to her, the people are more poltically alligned than the legislature. if that is true (no guarantee on that) then perhaps the moderate democrats and the moderate republicans will win elections, and enable legislation that will propel an economic recovery
The problem with that is the moderate republicans are getting pushed back in favor of the likes of Sarah Palin and Scott Brown. These two people puppets for large companies. And the moderate republicans just go with it because atleast it's a republican in the seat.
