? about flushing. Please +rep

I have a bagseed that is in day 38 of flowering, and a Sour Diesel that is in day 31 flowering. I know I need to go by trichomes color to accurately harvest on time. I need to know what should the trichomes look like when I want to flush for 2 weeks before harvest and have a 50/50 head/body high. This way I dont flush too early or too late for a 50/50 high. Also what kind of scope do I need to be able to see the trichome color easily, what is the price of the scope, and can I buy 1 at walmart or other local stores.

look around on some headshops online they will sell a scope forn this purpose 420 scope is a brand name. im sure you can find something cheaper than one made for ganja but you can get ideas by looking at it. i use a big magnifying glass i think it works fine.

yea i just googled 30x and you can find one for 10 bucks or as stated above radio shack 13 bucks. i like my magnifying glass im old school.

I asked when to flush so that when the 2-week flush is over I will have 50% white hairs, and 50% orange hairs. Not 60-70% that is more of a couch lock high I want a equil couchlock/head high, but thanks anyway.

take good records the next time you grow it youll know for sure when to start your flush. that is if your going to keep the strain going with clones. there is not going to be a definite foolproof answer as every plant is differant. even among "strains" every seed is going to be a little diiferant from one to another.

OMG does anyone here understand english, I asked when to flush so when the 2 weeks flush is over I will have 50% amber trichomes. So do I start flush when they turn cloundy or wait untill (example) 20%,30%,40%50% of the hairs turn orange. Pretty much I am asking what should the trichomes look like if I want to flush 2 weeks and end with 50% amber trichomes. THANX

I think you should do your flush once 10% of the main cola has orange hairs. This way your plants will be around 50% at the end of the 2 weeks.

I would certainly not go as far as to say flushing is a myth. Have you looked at any of the pics on this forum man? Some people nuke their shit half to death.

Perhaps a more fitting piece of advice: If your plants have not been overfed, and there is not much realistic possibility of mineral buildup in the plant tissue, then the need for 2 weeks of no food is definitely arguable.

I agree with ya on that, one certainly should flush if they've over nuted or to remove salt buildup but they are talking about no nutes whatsoever the last few weeks of the plants life because of this misconception that it somehow removes chemicals from the plant itself and taste is effected. Flushing the medium is fine and helpful but starving the plant is detrimental.

Maybe you should try that. You won't be able to tell a difference except your flushed plant will have less yield.

flushing is nesesary with indoor plants especialy those grown with chemicals. i wasnt going to answer to this one again becouse i apperently dont understand english. but what this kid needs to know is unless you know your plant we have no clue when to start flushing. you could take the estimated time that they will finish flowering by and start 2 weeks before that but youve got unknown bagseed so we dont know do we? as for your deisel or whatever you can get a better clue becouse you may know when its supposed to be done.fucking grow em to the hairs have turned 50% then start flushing your hairs will be more like 75% turned but why cheat yourself with the 50% shit. grow some sativas and plants known for being up if thats the result you want. deisels meant to rock you. when your trics are turning amber thats when a plant is mature,and has produced its most esential oils and terpens. peace, im just saying what id do sorry. you do what you like but nobody can tell you for sure when to start flushing your bagseed as nobody here has grown it.

based on the little info we have on your grow set up go for 2/3 clear, should get you close. then keep notes on when they hit where you want and you will have the perfect flush next time
